Wishing Everyone A Very MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I just want to Wish You A Very Joyous Merry Christmas to You and all Your Lovely Families! I hope you all are making Wonderful memories!

I want to say “Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays”! I have a couple of fun, "non-traditional coloredl" Christmas cards to share with you this wonderful Christmas day! They are also on the Quick Quotes Blog. Very “JOYful”, lol! Well all the pattern papers are from the December Club Q Kit and I used Bloody Mary Powderpuff Chalk Ink to ink everything, Cardstock is from DCWV. Now I had picked up some of these glittered Christmas Ornaments from Wal-Mart because I loved the color and thought it would look cute on a card or a layout and who would have known it would be perfect with the December Club Q kits! I used a Martha Stewart punch for the layers on my trees then just cut them into tree shapes and staggered them on my card and added a few pop dots for some added dimension. The little village is also a Martha Stewart punch and with a added sparkly star, some bling and some ribbon, I have a very “JOYful” card!
And my second card was inspired by these fun Sparkly Bow Ornaments that I also got at Wal-mart that I thought would look great on a card or layout. And what a perfect topper to my Martha Stewart punched and layered tree! Designer papers are from the December Club Q kit which I inked with Bloody Mary Powderpuff Chalk Ink also the cardstock is from DCWV, added my great Bow and another gold bow and then used a couple of other Martha Stewart punches like the village, ornaments and snowflake ones, added a bit of bling to the snowflake and done!

Thanks for taking a minute out of your day and stopping by. Have a Wonderful and Blessed Christmas to You and your Families!

"With Sugar On Top" Baking for the Holidays Challenge with SOUS!

Hi Everyone and How Are You? Are you ready for Christmas? Have you did any Baking? Well if you are (or did) hope you take some pictures and join us for this weeks challenge over at the Stuck On U Sketches Die Cut Challenge  because this week it's all about "Baking For The Holidays"! We all love homemade cookies and it's just not Christmas without them! What are your favorite ones? Mine are these Italian waffle cookies called Pizzelle's that my Mom used to make and they just smelled sooooo good, vanilla and anise, oh so Yummy! My mom used to use a waffle iron that you needed to use over a flame for y-e-a-r-s but then progressed to an electric one which is what I still have and use. I still have her OLD waffle iron and it's very dear to my heart!
Well enough about cookies and on to the challenge!
Well as I said, this weeks challenge is Baking for the Holidays and I used one of my favorite cartridges, From My Kitchen. This was one of those carts that I HAD to have when it came out and I still love it! Part of my inspiration to this layout is these fun little buttons that I've had for quite a while (think I got them at Michael's at least 5 years ago, lol) and just HAD to use them on this layout. They were Perfect for it and really adds a bit of whimsy, don't you think!? Well as you can see I made a two page layout and I added one of my secret hidden journal spots again. Can you guess where it is?...............................................................
Yep In The OVEN! Open the door and that's where you can journal! Cute huh! Well the Oven is cut @ 5" and welded two of the cuts together using Design Studio to make the "inside" of the oven.
And what about a fresh percolated cup O' Coffee to go with those cookies. I cut the coffee pot @ 2" and the oven mitts are cut @ 2" also.
Here's a better view of the left side of the layout. The Gingerbread cookies are cut @ 5" and there is a boy and a girl (can't have one without the other, lol). Had to have a Bowl (cut @ 3"), Mixer (cut @ 3") Rolling Pin (cut @ 3 1/2") Eggs (cut @ 1") and the Canister (cut @ 3") to mix up some yummy cookies!
And a view of the right side of the layout. Oven is cut @ 5", Coffee Pot @ 2", Oven mitts @ 2", Pot Holder @ 2", and the saying is from Winter Frolic and cut @ 4". Now after seeing the saying on this post I think I should have put some of that sugar glitter on the word sugar in the saying. I may have to do that later and I'll update it and let you know, what do you guys think, Sugar or no Sugar, lol!?
Here's a close up of the Gingerbread cookies, had to add some blingy gumdrops and icing ric rac, pretty Yummy don't you think!
A close up of the mixing utensils and kitchen gadgets. Added a bit of embossing on the bowl also.
And a close up of these cute little gingerbread buttons, spatula and baking tray along with a close up of the coffee pot, oven mitts and pot holder. Oh yea and all the papers are from various Recollections paper stacks (with the exception of the photo mat pattern paper, those are some older DCWV)  from Michael's I got a few weeks ago, they were 60% off for the deal of the day, pretty good huh, couldn't pass that one up.

Well I sure hope I've inspired you to do some baking and join us over at the SOUS Blog for the "Baking for the Holidays" Challenge! Link up with the Linky button on the blog and make sure you check out my Awesome Design Team Sisters Yummy "Baking" Projects, Amazing as always and So Inspiring! Let me know what your favorite cookies are for the Holidays and maybe if I get a chance to make some Pizzelle's this weekend I'll post the recipe and some pics. And if you have a good recipe, I'm always up to share, lol!
Happy Baking and Merry Christmas!

Glittered Poinsettias with Quick Quotes

Hello Everyone and Merry Christmas! Do I have a Fun Layout for you today! I just have to say I LOVE the way this turned out! It’s a pretty simple layout but I bet you can’t imagine where I got this GREAT Looking Glittered Flower paper from!!!??? You can’t guess, ....................................................................................................................................?????
Well I made it! Now I know your asking, “But how, Theresa did you make this paper”!? Well for those of you that get the Club Q Kits you can probably figure it out! But for those of you who are sitting on the edge of your seat, you give up, well here it is, lol!

It is the negative, throw away paper from the flower cutouts!!!!!! Can you Believe it, LOL! I just hate to throw anything away and I almost did but as it was in my hand I thought what if I do my Packing Tape Technique on this? So I did! And it turned out Awesome! Don’t you think? You never would have known it was almost trash, lol!
Well the rest of the layout was fun also. I used the December Club Q kit papers Very Merry! I added some lace to the glitter paper border and inked everything with Amaretto QQ Powderpuff Chalk Ink . My photo mats are double mounted and also have some gold sheer ribbon added for some interest. I also added a blingy snowflake to the centers of the glitter flowers. And the crowning glory is the popped great Christmas Quote!
Now I do have to say the pictures really just don’t do this layout justice! It really is a gorgeous layout in real life, lol! (and I don’t say that just because it’s mine lol!) so I just had to give you another close up of the glittered poinsettias and another view of it too!!

My extras were minimal; Cardstock: DCWV, Snowflake Punch & Glitter: Martha Stewart, Bling: Hobby Lobby, Ribbon and Lace is from my stash.

Have a Very Merry (Scrappy and Crafty) Christmas

We always Need Tags with BBTB2!

Well Hello Everyone and welcome back to another Bitten By The Bug 2 Challenge Monday! We had a  really nice time off for the Thanksgiving Holidays and now all the Gals from BBTB2 are back! And we have a Fun, get in the mood for Christmas, Challenge for you this week. This week Lori has picked ANY Tag from the Winter Frolic cartridge. Now remember if you don't have the Winter Frolic cart you can use any tag from any cartridge.
Now as you can see I made a few tags, lol. They are between the sizes of 3"-5" so they are pretty simple. You can never have enough tags and I always seem to run out and of course, then can't find the leftovers from the previous year, lol! These were really simple, just the various tags with the shadow cut and then I used my much loved Packing Tape Technique to give it a little sparkle and then stamped the To: and From: and added a bit of jute for the tie on string and done!
Well I sure hope you join us for the challenge. Just remember, it has to be a NEW project and if you don't have the Winter Frolic cart you can use any tag from any cart. You'll have two weeks to upload to the Link up link and you could win our Fun Blinkie to add to your blog, along with bragging rights. Make sure you check out what all the other Design Team Gals did, always amazing those Gals!
Have a Great Day and  I'll have more later in the week to share with you!

A Very Merry Christmas Cards with Quick Quotes

Hey Everyone, Theresa here and are you ready for Christmas? Well I’m still working on it and that means I still have a few more Christmas cards to make so I thought why not get a few done with our Fun new Club Q Kit . Well I made 4 cards out of the December Club Q Kit. I love these Frosty and Fun papers and Love how these cards turned out. I used the Amaretto Powderpuff Chalk Ink to add to the distressed edges of all the images. These are all 5 x 7 size pre-cut cards and all the Very Merry papers are from the kits along with the great Poinsettia flowers. Very few extras and the last card has a cute poem about Santa’s Magic Key.
1st card so Simple and Pretty with just a few extra blingy snowflakes and a great bow!
2nd one, Love the silhouette singers and the gorgeous poinsettia and a few more blingy snowflakes!
3rd one is a true "gift" (lol) another gorgeous poinsettia with some bling and a bit of lace!
And last but not least this is for those of us that don’t have a fireplace for Santa to comedown. This has the “Magic Key” that only Santa can use to let him in the house, the poem was computer generated and then I used my Grand Caliber to cut the label out with the poem for the card. I’m also attaching one of the many poems that are available for the Magic Key Poem, and the actual one on the card I made:
This key is very special, you see!
It won’t work for you or me.
Hang it just outside your door
then go to bed and worry no more.
Close your eyes and close them tight ‘cause,
“Santa Claus is coming tonight!”
Extras used:
Cardstock: DCWV
Grand Caliber with Label Die
Snowflake Punch: Martha Stewart
Bling: Hobby Lobby
Key: JoAnn’s
Stickles: Crystal
Ribbon and Lace: my personal stash
Well I sure hope your more ahead of yourself and organized then I am, if not then you know exactly how I feel, lol! One good thing is that for some reason, it always seems to get done and if it doesn't, nobody seems to notice or miss it, lol!
Well thanks for stopping by and I'm sure we'll be seeing each other again!

Theresa

O'Christmas Tree Challenge with SOUS!

Hello Everyone and can you believe it's almost Christmas!!!!! Boy this year sure did FLY by! (Means I'm getting old, lol!) Well Stuck On U Sketchs is having another challenge today and the theme is "O'Christmas Tree"! Quick Quotes Blog is also having a Christmas Theme Challenge that I'm going to post this in. Well I made a Shaker Tag for the challenge with my Tree inside. I used the Winter Frolic Cartridge that I just got at the Michael's Black Friday. Can you believe I didn't have this fun cartridge (not that I didn't want it, lol!)
I have many plans for this cart and you will be seeing more projects done with it in the coming weeks!
Well I used a tag that I made at Quick Quotes Private Reserve (tons of FUN so if you ever get a chance you need to go!) I was helping with the make and take for this and I just kept seeing a shaker box instead of a luggage tag, lol! So that's what I did with it! Turned it into a shaker box. I added the lace border with a Martha Stewart punch and also a few snowflake punches. I added some "snow" on the inside along with some glass beads and silver sliver glitter and of course had to add some bling! Also a pretty gold bow and what do you think of my little Christmas bulb charms/beads, Cute Huh!

Well I sure hope you join us with this Christmas Tree challenge, just remember it has to be a "New" Challenge and you have two weeks to upload your project to the linky button! Hope to see you there!

White Space Challenge over @ Quick Quotes

White Space, what do you all think of White Space??? Well I'm not a big fan of it, as most of you all know I love to add as much as I can on my layouts and projects! But the challenge over at the Quick Quotes Blog is to use "White Space"! Everytime I see a white space layout I always think " Wow, I can do that and it will be quick and easy"! WRONG!!!!!! This was a Challenge! Even picking a picture was a challenge, lol! But I have to say I actually like the way it turned out and keep telling myself, "what took me so long"!
Well I used this Adorable picture of McCade when he was almost 6 months old (now 11 yrs), I took a whole roll of black and white pics and I love all of them (so I have more)! Well I used some of the papers and embellishments from the October Teresa Colloins Club Q Kit. I also used a plain piece of white cardstock and used my homemade shimmer mist to stencil a doily onto the cardstock because I just couldn't use and all white paper for a white space challenge, lol! You can see a bit of the shimmer on the picture below and it does look a 100 times better in person but you can see some of the shimmer here.
I also added some of the chipboard and cardstock embellishments inked with QQ Midnight Confessions Powderpuff Chalk Ink and to bring out the orange from the photo mat I used some of my Prisma colored pencils and Gamsol to add a bit of color to the chipboard pieces (I don't own any Copic markers, so I still do it the old fashined way, lol). I love the way the subtle bit of color pops and brings out the photo mat and gives a bit of color to a pretty monochromatic color scheme.
I also added a saying from a Fiskers, Cloud 9 Design stamp about the blessings of little boys to love and I have to tell you McCade is a little blessing to me (keeps me young!) And of course had to add some bling, the bling strip is from the kit and the extra bling is some from my stash. Some sheer ribbon, and that's it! Pretty simple but what a fun and "Challenging" Challenge, lol!
So how do you all feel about "White Space"? Do you love it and it comes naturally, or do you struggle with it? Why don't you join us over at The Quick Quotes Blog for a fun Challenge! Just remember it has to be a new project and link up. You have till Nov. 30th to enter and you could win a great prize along with our Winner Blinkie to post on your blog, along with bragging rights! I sure hope to see you there! Have a great day and I hope You and Your Family Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving!

((Hugs)) and Take Care, Theresa

Extras used; Cardstock: DCWV, Sheer Ribbon: JoAnn's, Loose Bling: Hobby Lobby, Stamp: Fiskers Cloud 9, Doily: WalMart, Colored Pencils: Prisma)

A Fun Glitter Packing Tape Technique for Trendy Tuesday's over @ Quick Quotes

Hi Everyone, Theresa here and I have a fun technique for you today. I love to do my fun and easy “Packing Tape Technique” and when you see how easy it is you’ll never look at the “negative” (I call it the Naked Space, lol) on your cut outs the same again! You will need to gather a few supplies:

Take your Packing Tape and add a piece to the back of your cut out (Naked/negative) space with the sticky side facing up:

Now put your images right side up, with the sticky side facing up and add your choice of glitter:
You can use a paint brush (or your finger) to push the glitter into the sticky packing tape:
Shake off the excess and your done!

Add some ink to the edges, faux stitching, whatever you want to add your own personal touch and your done! Endless possibilities!

I hope when you try this technique you share it with us and add it to the Idea Gallery on the Quick Quotes Blog.

Thanks for joining me for another Fun technique!

Mouse Challenge Over At BBTB2 This Week!

Well Happy Monday everyone and how have all of my Wonderful Followers been!? I've been missing in action for the last couple of Bitten By The Bug 2 challenges and I'm so sorry! I have missed all of you and hope you've missed me (one can hope right, lol!) Well we've been doing some much needed home improvements and now I have a wall of new cabinets in my kitchen! I painted them a great green color and when we get the counter top on the desk I will show you how great they are! My dear hubby has also decided to move my crafting area downstairs to the family room and he got me another whole wall of cabinets and I've been trying to get things moved and set up but it slow going. I've been working alot and not feeling to good and just can't seem to shake it! Hopefully I'm just still trying to adjust to the daylight saving change, lol! Boy my Hubby sure picks the wrong time to do home reno's, lol, with the holidays and all......................(but I'm not complaining, lol!)
Well as you all know on Mondays it is always new BBTB2 challenge days and today is Our Amazing Melissa's turn to pick the challenge and she picked the Mouse form the Meow Lite cartridge. Now I don't own that cartridge but you know the rules and you are encouraged to use any cartridge with a Mouse on it. I used the Create A Critter cartridge for my project and made a quick card. I used the chunk of cheese and welded two chunks together using Design Studio and then added quite a few layers to the cheese and the Cute little Mouse!
See lots of layers! I did just a bit of embossing on the ears and the belly. Added the cute little eyelash googly eyes and a bow and all done. Pretty simple and now I have a card ready in case an occasion comes up that I forgot about. I was thinking of adding a saying to the inside that says "To the Big Cheese", maybe for a forgotten birthday!
Well I sure hope you join us over at the BBTB2 Blog and remember if you don't have the Meow Lite cart, use ANY Mouse from any cart but remember, it has to be a NEW project! Link up and you could win our Pick Of The Week (POW) Blinkie to display on your blog, along with bragging rights! Hope to see you there!

Time Canvas with Quick Quotes!

Greetings here from Theresa and I have another Canvas Kit Creation to share with you all! Boy these are addicting! I was a bit intimidated the first time I tried one of these but now I always look forward to seeing what the new Canvas kit is each month! I used the November Club Q Canvas Kit for my “Time” canvas. I also added some extra elements to my project from some of the other November kits. First I painted the edges of my canvas with some black acrylic paint and used some Copper Brown Metallic Rub On paint to my black cardstock borders. Banners are very popular right now so what a perfect addition to the November kit. I added an extra layer to my canvas when I fussy cut a piece of my Copper Kettle QQ paper and pop dotted it to give it some dimension. I inked everything with QQ Powderpuff Chalk Ink in Mocha Mama and Midnight Confessions. I also added one of the Velum flowers from one of the other November QQ Club Q kit, added a clock rub-on with one of our Big Brads and also a couple of clocks from the October Club Q Teresa Collins Kit. Added a bit of bling and that’s it.
I hope you enjoyed this and check back on Tuesday where I’ll have a great technique to share with you on how I added the glitter to my “TIME” banner. You won’t want to miss it, So Fun and Super easy! See you there!

((Hugs)) and Take Care, Theresa

And having this blog, of course ALL of my Wonderful and Faithful Followers That means all of YOU!!!!!

I have a Quick, Quick Quotes (pun intended, lol) Card for you today! I have a friend that just needed a little pick me up and I made this card pretty quick. I used some scraps from the October Club Q kit which was the Fun Teresa Collins papers. Love the Black and White papers. I inked the edges using the Yummy Quick Quotes Midnight Confessions Powderpuff Chalk Ink  and from the Teresa Collins kit used a Die Cut tag saying “Count Your Blessings” and I also added a bit of bling (it always makes me smile). I used some tulle for some fluffy texture and the flower I made myself from a punch. The card base is black so I’ll do my writing on the inside with a white jelly roll pen, how fun! Well this card made me feel better, I sure hope it makes my friend feel better! Have a Great Day and please stop by the Quick Quotes Blog and share with us what you are Thankful For!!

New Stuck On U Sketches and Cricut Circle Monthly Challenge!

Hey everyone, how are all of you!? I've been missing on my blog lately (so sorry) I've been busy with work and doing some projects around the house! We just put in some pantry cupboards in our kitchen (woo hoo more cupboard room) so I've been painting. Then next week when I finish painting these we are moving my crafting area! I will be getting new cupboards (so more painting) and a new work area in our family room, I can't wait!
Well now onto new crafting challenges! First of all Stuck On U Sketches new challenge this week is:
LEAF!
And then The Cricut Circle Blog's Monthy challenge which is: To create a project of any kind using your sign/symbol of "Fall", you must also add texture to your project.
I made a Fun Fall Project to share with you. I love Fall so this was super Fun for me, I just love the colors of Fall and this soft pumpkin is adorning my coffee table so I get to enjoy it everyday, it just brings a big smile to my face and I sure hope you enjoy it also, I enjoy sharing it with you!
I couldn't wait to get out all my goodies to make some of these fun fall Sweater Pumpkins. These are made with re-cycled sweaters. I may try and do a tutorial in the following weeks (but my new craft area will be a big priority, you know how important that is, lol) Well after I finished my soft sculptor pumpkin I had to add some leaves to it so what better way to do that is with your Cricut! I used the Celebrate With Flourish cartridge and made a tag/card to tie onto the pumpkin.
Now I have a few extra goodies on here and one of them is a crochet doily that I added some of my homemade shimmer shine in a pretty gold shimmer. It's pretty hard to see but it is very pretty in person. I added a pretty sheer Red bow that I got last year at one of the after Xmas sales. The little birds nest is one I had in some of my stash and the acorns and pine cones are actually some I harvested in my own backyard!
Here is my actual card and I have to say, I Love It!!! It is cut @ 4" and welded the shadows together using Design Studio, cut all my layers and then I did some embossing, used Devine Swirls, Swiss Dots, Tiny Mosaic, Pumpkin Harvest and a small dotted butterfly folder. I inked everything with some Quick Quotes Mocha Mama chalk Ink popped everything and added some Red and Green Gems (also known as Bling, lol)!
Here's a great shot of all the layers and the embossing!
I just Love these little acorns! I added the texture on the acorns with the Pumpkin Harvest folder and I used the pumpkins to add the lines in the the acorns. (You can't even tell it's a pumpkin can you, lol!) Well I sure hope you join us over at Stuck On U Sketches. Your project just needs to be a new project and use a die/cut of a "LEAF", link up with the Linky on the SOUS Blog, and there's always goodies to be won, so the more you join in the various challenges the more chances you have to win. Pretty simple don't you think!? And speaking of winning I'm entering this in the Cricut Circle challenge also so since I'm not super lucky I'm keeping my fingers (and toes, lol) crossed.
Well hope to see you over at SOUS and if your a Circle member I may see you at the Circle challenge. Have a Great weekend, do you have any special plans, I'm going to be doing more painting  and when I'm done I'll post a pic when I'm done!
((Hugs)) and Take Care,
Theresa

Petaloo & Quick Quotes Blog Hop Day 5!

Welcome to another day of the Quick Quotes and Petaloo Blog Hop, I sure hope you’ve enjoyed the hop and I can honestly say I was so excited to hear we were partnering with Petaloo and equally excited to share my layout using these Gorgeous Flowers! Any of you that know me know I Love Flowers, so this was right up my alley! The hardest part for me was deciding which ones to use! I wanted to use them ALL! Well I started with some fun papers. I used the Patsy's Paradise line of papers, I used a Martha Stewart punch around the page and then I fussy cut around the swirl on the QQ paper for some dimension and depth, then inked everything with Mocha Mama QQ Powderpuff Chalk Ink then popped the fussy cut layers. I also misted a Frosted Butterfly onto my paper with some of my homemade shimmer shine in a copper color and then added the misted Butterfly to the layout nestled in there with my flowers. Added some QQ Ribbon and did the Scrunched Ribbon technique from Michelle. Then I had some fun! I started layering my flowers, I used Canterberry Vine (Cream) & Berry Spray (Red), Mini Canterbury (Teal & Paprika) & Canterbury Rose x 6 (Vanilla & Paprika). It was so hard to stop but I had to add my bow so I scattered a few extra flowers in various places on the layout. I glued everything down with Beacon's 3 in 1 Glue (this glue will hold down almost anything and dries really fast) I used very minimal extras on this, The cardstock: DCWV, & Bling: Michael’s, that’s it. I sure hope I’ve inspired you to add some of these Beautiful Flowers from Petaloo and Gorgeous Papers from Quick Quotes to your next project. Enjoy!
Here's a close up of the Gorgeous Petaloo flowers I got to use! Aren't you jealous, lol!
And here's a close up of my handmade Shimmer shine butterfly, so pretty!

Well of course what Blog Hop doesn't have fun and Prizes!? Hop on over to the QQ Blog and/or Petaloo Blog to see what you have to do and you could win some of these awesome goodies yourself!
Hope you have a great weekend, I'm going to try and get me some crafting done this weekend, what kind of plans do you all have!?

((Hugs)) and Take Care,
Theresa
