The Crowning Touch Over at BBTB2 Challenge!

Hey all, Happy Monday! I all hope you had a Blessed and Lovely Easter with your Family. We had a very Quite and relaxing day. I have almost got caught up on my computer duties, lol! I sure did miss all of you last week. It was just a crazy week at work and this week will be just as crazy (if not a bit crazier) but I'll get through it, LOL!
Well this week's challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2 comes from the Wonderfully Talented Julie! She picked either of the Crowns on the Home Decor Solutions cartridge. Now remember, if you don't have that cartridge you can use any cart with a crown on it! I also used the Lovely Floral Lite cartridge (the one's from Wal-Mart) with Home Decor. I always wanted to use the Scrap Queen cut on that cart and what a perfect opportunity this was! I even got to add a crown for the Queen! And  what else does a crown need but some Bling, lol!
I also used a pre-made tag card from K & Co, the size is 5" x 7", and also an older stack from K & Co. called Peabody. I used a Martha Stewart punch and some ribbon I purchased after Xmas.
Well I had all these scraps and thought I would make a tag to go with the card and I have to say it turned out kinda Cute, whatcha think! The tag is a pre-made manila mailing tag, 2 1/2" x 5" also, but I handmade the flowers and the leaves and since I had made two crowns (I wasn't sure which one would look better, giggle) so what better place to add the extra Crown too, Right! The imagine sticker is just that, a sticker and it's popped like the crown so it gives it some extra dimension. The only difference is that the crown on the card has rhinestones and the crown on the tag has some gold brad type gems. Both are heat set so I used my I-Rock for both. Also everything is inked with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Also the twine is not Baker's twine (but it kind of looks like it) it's a bit thicker then baker's twine and I got it at Michael's. It's called Sugar 'n Cream Twist and I got it in the yarn section. I've also seen it at Jo Ann's. Don't get me wrong, I love the Baker's twine but I haven't had a chance to get me any YET! It's on my LONG list of wants, lol! I also added a bit of ink to the twine to give a distressed look (it was a bit too "clean" looking!)
Well I sure hope you will be able to join us at BBTB2 this week in the challenge and just remember if you don't have the Home Decor cart, any cart with a Crown will work! Link up to Mr. Linky and you could win our Pick of The Week (POW) Blinkie to add to your blog, along with bragging rights of course, lol!

Well I hope you have a wonderful Week, hope to see you at the challenge!

Peek~A~Boo Easter Egg and the Weekly Challenge with BBTB2!

Peek~A~Boo and Happy Monday Everyone! I see that I have a few new followers and that just makes my day! Welcome to all my new followers and I sure hope I can inspire you. I know that all the wonderful comments that you all leave inspire me each and every week. Thanks You all of you, you all mean the world to me and thanks for the lovely comments!

Now Monday's always bring a Challenge over at Bitten By The Bug 2 and today is the Sweet Krista's week to pick our challenge and she chose to use Any of the Eggs from the Easter Solutions Cartridge. Also if you don't own that cartridge you can use ANY Egg on any cartridge and since I didn't have the Easter Cart I used Doodlecharms. I also used Paper Lace for the flower Peek A Boo cut out. I wanted to do something similar to the Sugar Eggs with the little sugar scenes inside. I had one for the longest time when I was a kid and I loved it so much and had it for quite awhile...................
till the Ants got ahold of it, LOL!
Well there is alot of dimension on this Egg, actually it is a egg shaped card I welded in Design Studio and then added all the layers. Once I started I had so many more ideas and that's where the flower idea came into my mind. I wasn't going to do this weeks challenge, it's been a busy week again and I waited till the last day again so this came together pretty quick and I cheated and used some Easter stickers (shame on me, lol) that I had bought last year on clearance. I made the Rossette and added the doily and added them to the center of the cut out with some of the stickers. Added some dew drops, some white faux stitching and a pink bow. All the paper is Martha Stewart papers and popped everything.
Here's some more pictures of all the dimension...................
And more dimension and layers.

Now I sure hope you join us this week over at BBTB2 and remember if you don't have the Easter Cartridge you can use any cartridge with an Egg on it. You may win our Pick Of The Week (POW) Blinkie, along with bragging rights, to add to your blog. Hope to see you at the challenge and Thanks Again to all of you and all the Sweet comments, keep them coming, they really make my day, lol!

((Hugs)) Take Care and Have a Wonderful Week!

Mother's Day Challenge with BBTB2!

Hello Everyone, Happy Monday to You All! Today's Challenge day over at Bitten By The Bug 2 again and this week is the Lovely Lori's week to pick and she chose the Mother's Day 2010 cartridge and we were to use ANY of the sayings. Now as you all can see I don't have that cartridge so I used Wrap It Up instead and used the Happy Mother's Day saying AND the Card Feature. The paper is a litely printed paper from Martha Stewart and you really can't see the print but it really is pretty. I also used one of my favorite techniques using packing tape and glitter! You add the tape to the back of your cutout design, with the sticky side up for the glitter to stick to, HERE is the tutorial if you didn't see it and would like to try it. I also added some Bling (gotta love it) and a ribbon, actually I waited till the last minute and didn't get the layout I wanted to get done but I like how this card turned out. It will be for my Mother In Law for Mother's Day. My Dear Mom has since passed so I'll just have to Chat with her on Mother's Day =)
I also finished the inside of my card using one of the cutout leftover pieces from one of the flowers and attached them to a strip of paper and added a bow, I'm glad I finished the inside and love how it turned out.
Well I sure hope you all join us this week and remember if you don't have the Mother's Day 2010 cartridge you can use any cartridge with a Mother's Day Saying/Theme (Mom, Grandma, Mama, Mommy, I Love You, ect.) And just think, you'll have your Mother's Day card (if that's what you decide to do) done early, LOL!
Well Hope you all have a great week,
((Hugs)) and Take Care, Theresa
