B-Day Blog Hop with Vintage Heartfelt Designs and Quick Quotes

Hi everyone and here's a fun little "differant" hop for you to join in!
Thanks for visiting my blog today. Today’s post is the card that I’ve provided to my design team for the Design Team Birthday Blog Hop on 7/30-7/31.
I’m sure you’re all familiar with a standard blog hop - a long list of blogs, and you hop from one to the other leaving comments...
Well, this one has a twist. This should be a super efficient hop for you, the hopper...
We’re linking up design team blogs instead of the individual bloggers blogs... So you only have to make 8 hops, and you’ll get to see 57 cards! If you’re interested, go directly to the start at:
VINTAGE HEARTFELT DESIGNS
There is some great blog candy to be had!!!Here’s my card! I hope you hop along with us!

My Recipe for my card is:
I used some of my scraps from my Quick Quotes Miss Morgan Papers and some leftover ribbon from the same kit (another purple layout, go figure, lol!)
Inked using QQ Purple Passion chalk Ink (LOVE this ink!)
And Older Stampin Up stamp set called, I Like Your Style!
I don't have Copic markers so I used my Prisma Colored Pencils with some mineral spirits. (And it's a WHOLE lot cheaper, lol) can you tell the differance!? Be honest, lol!
My sentiment is turned into a shaker box with some sparkly glitter for some shine!
Added a little flower, some stickles and of course some bling for some added sparkle!

Well, I hope you have fun hopping and Thanks for stopping by!

Meet "Eddie" Our New Addition To The Family!

Isn't he Gorgeous! We just got him, He's an Ornery Mule and McCade named him Eddie (you know from Shrek) Eddie Murphy was Donkey and even tho Eddie is a Mule We're still going to call him Eddie. McCade has been wanting one since we moved here a couple of years ago and Our Friends had a Friend that wanted him to go to a good home and they thought of us and I'm a sucker for all animals (that's one reason I have 5 dogs, lol) and he is absolutely Beautiful so I couldn't say no. My Granddaughter Molly has been wanting a horse (hopefully a Mule will do, lol) so maybe I can bribe her now to talk Mommy into moving out here so she can help me break him, lol! His pretty feisty and he needs to be broke but heck what can I say, sometimes I love a good challenge (and it doesn't always have to do with paper, right, LOL!!) He has acres of grass to eat and he ran and ran but them finally settled down so I could snap a few pics of him.
And like I said before, Isn't he Gorgeous! I love his ears! I think we're going to be good friends, lol! Hopefully we'll be able to saddle break him in time so we'll be able to ride him, but it will be awhile. I'll keep you all posted on our upcoming antics since this is the first Mule that I've ever owned, so wish me luck, lol
And look what was also waiting for me when we got home, Woo Hoo, I hope I get some time tonight to play with it, I can't wait, I've wanted this since it came out on Hello Thursday! You know me I love Flowers so this will be fun!
Well hope you have a great rest of the week, I just wanted to introduce you to our newest member of the Family and I'll keep you all posted of his progress, and some of the flowers I make too, lol!

Getting to Know the Quick Quotes Design Team Blog Hop!

Hi all my Lovely followers, old and new, welcome and I hope all is well in your part of the world. It's been SOOOOOO HOT and Humid here in Kentucky. I've been staying indoors even tho I have lots to do outside, it's just so hot it takes your breath away when you walk outside. Boy it makes me hot just posting about it, lol!
Well if you just happened to drop in, your in luck because over at The Quick Quotes Blog we are having a "Getting to Know the Quick Quotes Design Team" so WELCOME! If you hopped from my Amazingly Talented and Lovely Design Team Sister, Rhonda's blog, your on the right track, but if you need to start at the beginning click HERE.

Well I did a 2 page layout using one of the July Club Q Kits and you actually have a chance at winning all the Miss Morgan papers (pictured below) and/or the Grand Prize of a Free Private Reserve Getaway ($299 value)! How Exciting is That!
Well on this layout I used the Serenade Cartridge for the Birds and Birdcage. The Birdcage is actually the Journal spot for the layout and if you've been following me for awhile you'll know I like to hide my journaling in fun little spots that serve more then one purpose. And if your new, your in for a treat to figure out where the journal spots are in the future ( I sure hope I inspire you to return again, lol)
I also did a little recycling on this layout also. Can you guess where????
If you guessed the flowers, yep your right! I actually used some old cards I had and fussy cut the flowers and added them to my layout. I popped some to add some dimension since I had about 3 cards to use. I also added some extra stickles to the leaves since the flowers were already glittered with Diamond stickles and also added it on the birdcage along with gunmetal stickles. Everything is from the July Club Q Kit and the extras I used are:
Cricut Cartridge: Serenade
Cardstock: Colorbok
Bling Swirls: Recollections
Extra Bling: Hobby Lobby and Bead in a Bottle (Tulip)
Dogwood flowers: recycled from old Mother's day cards
Ribbon: Michael's
Punch Around the Page: Martha Stewart (Cherish)

(Here's a close up of the Journal Birdcage spot)
Now the Exciting part, well at least part of the exciting part, my layout is the most exciting part right, lol, not really, the Candy is the exciting part!!! Well........................

BLOG CANDY for this stop: Miss Morgan Paper Pack (Pictured below) WOW (You could even scrap lift my layout if you wanted too, lol)
In order to win you just need to do 3 things:
#1 become a follower
#2 leave a comment
#3 check the main QQ blog on Sunday the 24th when all winners will be announced.
How Easy is that!

Now I'm the last stop on the hop but if you need to start the blog hop at the beginning please click here: www.blogquickquotes.com

Quick Quotes Club Q Re-Do!

What a Day for a Day Dream Layout using the Quick Quotes July Club Q kit DP265 and did a little Re-Do and I have to say I'm Lovin it, lol! I have to share a little secret with you all, shhhh, don't tell anyone but I'm not a big fan of Purple! Can you believe it, and the last three layouts I've done have been in Purple! Go Figure!!! LOL!
Well I used the Powderpuff Chalking Inks in Purple Passion to ink pretty much everything including the ribbon, I wanted it a bit darker then it was and I have to tell you I actually love the way it turned out. I fussy cut the flowers for a fancy photo frame and added some bling. I also used the Julie Je'taime papers using an EK Success punch, along with the Miss Morgan papers in the kit for some extra pops of color and the card stock is Colorbok.
"What a Day for a Day Dream is one of QQ many Wonderful Quotes I'm sure you could find one for that specific layout your doing. The doily comes in the kit and the tulle is some I had laying on my craft table and thought it looked good after I inked it with the QQ purple chalk ink with the added bow. And below is a close up of the butterflies in the kit. I added the antenna with a touch of bling on it and the flowers are Recollections along with the added bling swirls, also from recollections and Hobby Lobby.
Now this is just one kit for the month of July, check out the Club Q Kits and you can have them sent directly to your house each month and create with us. Also keep your eyes peeled for a big announcement on the Quick Quotes Blog tomorrow for a HUGE GIVEAWAY! Each Day a new prize so make sure you come back everyday to the QQ Blog ($3000 in 30 Days!) You don't want to miss it!

Well Have a great week and I'll see you all over at the QQ Blog all week!

Just Chillin' with BBTB2!

Hey all, Just Chillin with Bitten By The Bug 2 this week! Today is Monday and Monday's always bring a new challenge over at BBTB2 and this week is the Lovely Melissa's week to pick our Cartridge we are to use and she picked the Penguin with the Umbrella on the Jolly Holiday's Cartridge. Now remember if you don't have that cart you can use any Penguin on any cart. And please make sure you check out what the Design Team has done with this adorable little Penguin, WOW is all I can say, those gals always Amaze me!
Well I did a pretty simple card using the Jolly Holiday's Penguin (cut @ 4") but added LOTS of layers. I also added the Igloo (cut @ 3") form Create a Critter along with the saying "Just Chillin'"(cut @ 2") and added my own shadow, since they didn't have that feature (sad) and cut it a tiny bit bigger @ 2 1/8"! I also added a touch of bling, some google eyes and some faux stitching and dots. Pretty simple but I had to do some creating! Don't forget to link up a NEW project with Mr. Linky on the BBTB2 blog, you may win the Pick Of The Week (POW) button to add to your own blog, along with bragging rights of course! I hope I see you all there!
I haven't posted in awhile been kinda busy and went to 4-H camp as a Parent Volunteer with McCade. It was Hot, Humid, Dirty, and LOTS of hiking up and down hills and NO AIR CONDITIONING! Yes I'm crazy, but had a BLAST! So did McCade so I guess that means we'll be doing it again next year, LOL! I'm going to try and post a few pics this week from the tons of 4-H pics I took, I just need to figure out which ones I want to post and which ones I want to scrap, lol! Well I'm off and running again, I need to get caught up all over again, lol! Have a Great Week!

Quick Quotes and Amy Chomas..........What a Great Match!

Welcome my Wonderful and Lovely followers and if you're here from the Wonderful Quick Quotes Blog and you would like to become a follower, I would absolutely Love It and Welcome to Binky Blossoms!
We at Quick Quotes are teaming up with the Amazing Amy Chomas and her Amazing Pens! This is the first time I used these pens even tho I've seen them and been very curious because they looked like they would be a blast and I have to say.........................
They Were!
So super easy to use and SO MANY possibilities my mind is reeling with plans for these amazing pens.

They hook into your machine (I have a Cricut Expression) where the blade goes. You remove the blade and replace it with the pen housing and change your pressure (adjust to your machine) and then pick your image and hit cut and your image is printed out with the pen, AMAZING! You can actually cut around your image also, (I didn't do that you need to put the blade back in of course, lol) For the actual directions go to Amy's blog HERE and you can see for yourself and also get your self a set unless of course you WIN one! Yes you can win one if you leave a comment on the Quick Quotes Blog and become a follower so you can see all the great New, Fun products that the Amazing Design Team showcases for you of all the great Quick Quotes Products!

Well I made a card for a friend to hold a gift card. Now the front of the card has a pocket from one of the older Club Q kits along with the added flowers from the same kit. There is a little message on the note inside of the envelope that says "It's your day" and that is from the Lyrical Letter's Cricut cartridge along with the Happy B-day saying also. Now to antique it I used the Quick Quotes Powderpuff Chalk Ink in Mocha Mama. The ingredients for my projects are listed below. Have a great day and I sure hope you check out the Fun Club Q Kits and check out the Pen action over at Amy Chomas you won't be disappointed it was a blast!

Ingredients: Club Q Kits from May and July
Bling: Hobby Lobby
Ribbon: Club Q kit
Butterfly and Leaf Punches: Martha Stewart
Cardstock: DCWV

Well have fun and Good Luck!

God Bless America!

Happy 4th of July Everyone! We celebrated over the weekend and went to a Party/Wedding Reception. It was alot of fun and there was LOTS of fireworks that they shot off (they always make me very nervous, so I'm not a big fan of them, I've got this thing about fire...........very scary stuff!)
Anyway....................................What can I say but................................
God Bless America!
Land of the Free, Because of the Brave! My Dad was in the Navy for 25 years and Ken was in the Marines for 5 years so you could say I'm very Thankful for them Keeping Us Free! And also Thank You to all the Military Men And Women who continue doing that everyday!
To Celebrate the day I made a Layout! Now I need to go find the pics of my Dad in his Uniform, I think it would be perfect for this!
I used the Quick Quotes Just Jackson Papers on this layout.
The extras I used: Cricut Cartridge is Stand and Salute, Cardstock: DCWV, Ric Rac: Wright's, Bling: Hobby Lobby, Bookplate: Joann's
