Ice Cream, Ice Cream We All Scream For Ice Cream, Challenge and Blog Hop!

Hey there everyone and what a Beautiful Monday Mourning it is, Hot but Beautiful. I love to get up early and go out and water my plants, feed the dogs and watch my Hummingbirds and then it just gets to unbearably hot and I'm done for the day being outside! LOL
Well you all know Mondays bring new challenges over at BBTB2 and this is the last weekend of the month and that means BLOG HOP also! Well my fellow Amazing Design Team Sister Krista picked this weeks challenge and it is to use the Ice Cream Cone from the Stretch Your Imagination Cartridge. Let me tell you a bit about my layout and card then we'll get to the Blog Hop. So here goes:
First of all, like I said earlier, we were to use the Ice Cream Cone from Stretch Your Imagination Cartridge (now remember if you don't have SYI use ANY Ice Cream Cone from the numerous carts out there) Well I got two done because I wanted to do a triple decker Ice Cream cone card and it just wouldn't work the way I wanted so I decided to make another layout (you can never have enough layouts, LOL) Now if you notice the top scoop is where you will add your journaling (it lift's up for your thoughts) The scoops are embossed and stickled to give it some sprinkly sparkles and also there is a bit of bling too (you know I Love the bling and sparkle!) The center brad is also glittered to attach the flower for a bit more dimension (it was kinda bare and I can't stand bare, LOL) Paper is Martha Stewart and DCWV (older stuff) Corners are my favorite Sizzix corner punches, and also added a "paper ruffle" to the layered Martha Stewart punch border.
Now the card is just an extra and done basically the same as the layout cone and you can also lift up and write your message on the inside. Now on to the BLOG HOP :
Now if you got here from the amazing Penny's Blog your on the right track. The beginning starts here so make sure you didn't miss anyone. And we have a treat for you this hop, Regina will be joining us and she is your next stop on the Hop. Regina is the founder of the original BBTB and it is a treat to have her join us this week! Hope your having fun and all you need to do to win my bit of blog candy is to make sure you are a follower (I will check, Hee Hee) leave a comment with a way to contact you (only one will do, but a must have, LOL) and I'm sorry but only US residents (shipping issues). There is also a challenge over at Frosted Design which is a "Song Lyric Challenge" and having a young child (McCade) and Granddaughter's (Molly and Maddie) I watch my share of Kid TV! Well Hannah Montana has a song called "Ice Cream Freeze" and you can watch the YouTube video here. (And yes it is a kid's song but anyone of you that have kids watch your fair share of Kids TV! LOL) Now for the women out there that LOVE Keith Urban (Yes I LOVE Country music, always have!) here is a video form Keith called "Sweet Thing", Love it, what a "Sweet" song, LOL! Two totally differant genre's of music, LOL! So as I was doing this layout I thought of both of the songs soooo.... (I know kinda corney, but what can I say, it goes with the songs, and like I've said lots of times, I'm kinda corney! LOL) Hope you had fun and Thanks for visiting and as always Love the comments and I will close this all on Aug. 1st and let you know who has won. Have a Great week!
Froggie ((Hugs)) Theresa
Sorry for the delay, here's my candy (and I may throw in a few more goodies if by any chance I hit 200 followers this week! LOL) Thanks for your understanding!

I wanted to Share Some AMAZING Pictures With You!

I just had to share these with all of you. I actually took these myself with my little ole Samsung pocket camera. I just LOVE these little Guys and Gals, they are truly amazing little birds and I wish I had a third of their energy, LOL.
We have about 20 or more of them out off the deck everyday all day long. And more keep coming everyday. I have to fill up the feeders every other day. I think I will have to get another feeder to keep up with them. LOL
Look at this little gal, She was actually posing for me, Hee Hee! They will fly right up next to me and hover, they must know I feed them. I can almost reach out and touch them. I wonder if they would ever eat out of my hand if I put some fruit in my hand..........? I think I may have to try that........I will definitely let you know what happens with that. I just hope if they do I can get a picture, so you all believe me, LOL!
Well I just wanted to share these with you, hope you like them and if you want to get a feeder and put it out for them I have a recipe for the nectar you can do yourself and its much cheaper and once they come you don't even need to add the food coloring if you don't want to.
Here's the recipe:
4 parts Water (4 cups) to 1 part Sugar (1 cup) Bring your water to a rolling boil and then add the sugar and make sure it dissolves then set aside to cool. Once cool fill up your clean feeders and add a couple of drops of red food coloring if you want. Change the water at least once a week so the water doesn't get rancid, but once you attract them you'll have to re-fill more often then it will sit. So Enjoy and let me know how you do if you get a feeder.
Take Care and Froggie ((Hugs)) to you, Theresa

Unhinged @ BBTB2!

It's Monday and that means the BBTB2 weekly challenge. This week we are using the Hinges from Fabulous Finds. Well I didn't have Fabulous Finds but I have Potpourri Basket and there was a hinge on it so....... (Mine actually work too, flip open the "Boo" and write your secret message on the inside!) Our sponsor this week is also Shelly's Images She has alot of really cute images and great prices so you should check her out.
I am usually not a Halloween Person (I love to decorate and have tons of decorations but haven't scrapped many Halloween Pics!) but for some reason I loved this Haunted House. Good and Spooky, don't you think! LOL. I also used Hello Kitty Font for the Boo! Martha Stewart punch around the Page Spider Web and then  the Spider's and Bats are a Cuttlebug Emboss and Die. I added some stickles (not sure I like the stickles, just the hour glass on the Black Widow, I should have used black glitter!) I also used my colored pencils since I still don't have any Copics yet, (One Day, LOL) And Love the googly eyes in the Boo!

Well please join us at BBTB2 and use any Digi and if you don't have Fabulous Finds or Potpourri Basket, just use some type of hinges, even real ones if you like, I think that would be cute! And also don't forget to stop by Shelly's Images. I am also entering this over at Frosted Designs, their challenge is to use border punches and I just love this punch, so Fun! Make sure you check them out! Have an amazing Monday and a even better week.
Take Care and Froggie ((Hugs)) To Everyone!

Whoo Loves You at the BBTB2 challenge this week!?

Hello everyone today is Monday and that means BBTB2 weekly challenge. And this week it is to use the cute little owl from the Cricut Storybook cartridge. I haven't had any crafting mojo the last couple of weeks, lots of ideas but getting them down on paper has been pretty difficult for me, Don't have a clue why but...........
I think I've just got sooooo many things on my mind lately, and we've been trying to get the add on rooms finished! It sure has been taking FOREVER to get them done. Now I may have said this before but if anyone in your family (Hubs, kids, Dad, Uncles, Aunts, distant relatives, LOL, you get the point, anyone!) that does Drywall make sure you tell them Thank You from me (even tho I did it myself, and NEVER again!) It is the awfullest job in the world, and soooooooo messy! I don't think I will ever get all the drywall dust out of the house EVER! Anyway, it is almost done and I think that is why I haven't been able to concentrate on anything else. LOL
Well back to the BBTB2 challenge, We were to use the Owl and I did another layout, well actually two layouts. A Pink and Blue one (duh, like you can't see that, LOL). Basically both the same, just a few different papers. And yes I made all the flowers too. That's what took the most time.
Well I used the Storybook Cartridge, Straight from the Nest and George Carts. The Owl is from Storybook and cut at 5" with the shadow and did two different versions. The Whoo Loves You and the scroll are from Straight from the Nest and cut at 2". Now there isn't a shadow cut of the scroll with the border cut but I welded two together to get the shadow. You could use Design Studio or  your Gypsy for that one. The flowers are from George cut at 1" and  2". The corner scrolls are from a Sizzlets die and the leaves and tiny flowers are a punch. I chalked everything again and of course added the bling. The paper is from some old DCWV stacks. I'm trying so hard to use some of the older things I've had for so long and put in boxes when we moved and haven't been able to get to and going thru the boxes now find things that I just had to have and never used. (Well I would have if I could have gotten to them, LOL) It's kinda like finding hidden treasure. LOL
Well that's it for the BBTB2 challenge for now. Hope you can play along and remember if you don't have the Storybook cartridge you can use ANY owl. There are ALOT of them on lots of the Cricut carts, there's even one of the new Lites that is ALL Owls. So have fun with it. Thanks for stopping by and please feel free to leave me a comment. I so appreciate all the wonderful comments you all leave me and taking time out of your busy days to drop me a line! Thanks Again and have a Wonderful Day!
