BBTB2 Blog Hop and Baby Carriage Challenge!

Hi Everyone and Happy Monday! Well it's the end of the month and that always brings a Blog Hop over at Bitten By The Bug 2 and today is just that day! Now if you got here from the So Talented and Sweet Susan's blog your on the right track but you can always start at the BBTB2 Blog if you ever get lost.
Well today Carole picked our challenge for the Hop and she picked the Baby Carriage from New Arrival (and Oldie but a Goodie!) Well I don't have that cart (gasp!) so you know the rules, if you don't have that cart you can use any cart with a Baby Carriage on it and I used Kate's ABC's, and Nursery Rhymes for the saying. I just got the Kate's ABC's cart at Christmas time and all I can say is "Why did I wait so long to get this, lol!" (then of course I had to get Nate's ABC's too, lol!) It is such a Cute cartridge and you will be seeing more from me using it! Well I finally made me a Layout (yes, it's been awhile for that too, lol!) I had some fun with this and used some of the new papers and tools that I got for Christmas also. The border is punched with the Martha Stewart punch, the flowers are handmade with a couple of EK Success punches and the butterflies are another MS punch. And of Course the Star of the layout is my Darling Grand Daughter Molly the day she was born! Isn't she Gorgeous!!!! She's 8 years old now (and still Gorgeous!) So you can see I'm a bit behind on scrapping my pictures, lol! (Shame on Me!)
Here's a close up of my Cute Little Molly and the cutie with the Baby Carriage (it's kind of hard to see that cute little pom pom trim on the bottom of the little ones dress!). The image is cut @ 5" and you know me, it's got some layers and pop for some added dimension.
(Had to sneak in another close up of Molly, lol) and also the pretty flowers with some added bling (of course, you know me, lol!)
The saying is from the Nursery Rhymes cart cut @ 2 3/4". Did a bit of doodling and added another MS butterfly ready to drop off a cute little bundle!
And as I was creating I decided to make a card to have on hand because you can never have enough go to cards for those baby showers that seem to sneak up on you, so now I'm ahead of the game (for at least one card, lol!) This image is cut @ 4" and a few MS butterflies and another handmade flower added to my tag shaped pre-made card.

Well I sure hope you join us for this fun challenge and of course the Blog Hop! If you started here don't forget to hop over to the BBTB2 blog and start at the beginning but if you've already been hopping your next stop is going to be the Amazing Julie's blog. And don't forget to enter our challenge, just link up with the linky on the main blog, you have two weeks to enter and you can win our Cute POW (Pick of the Week) Blinkie to add to your blog, along with bragging rights, just remember it had to be a NEW project (no back linking) and we would love to have you add a link to the BBTB2 blog, (others may want to join in)! =]
Now I have some blog candy I'm giving away, (I probably throw some more goodies in there, I've been doing some cleaning, lol) all I ask is that you be a follower and please leave me a comment telling me what projects or things you would like to see me post! I kind of feel like I'm in a rut and maybe you all can spark my curiosity to new endeavors or give me some new ideas or trends that are out there that I'm not aware of. Thanks in advance and enjoy the hop!

"Snowman" Snowglobe Challenge over at SOUS!

Hi All and welcome to a Fun Friday Challenge with Stuck On U Sketches Die Cut Challenge this week and we are celebrating the "Snowmen" in our lives, lol! Yep the challenge this week over at SOUS is to use "Snowmen" (and I'm sure you could give him a Snow "Girl" if you like!) for you projects. I have a warm spot in my heart for Snow people and have been collecting them for quite awhile and have quite a few but I always seem to find more, lol! I actually wanted to make these for my Christmas cards this year but lo and behold I never did get Any cards done this year (shame on me!) I originally wanted to make a snowglobe card and had been inspired by a gal on the Cricut messageboard named Sharon and you can check out her blog and her snowman post here. (Yes I totally believe in giving credit where credit is due, kind of like Karma, lol!) I like how it turned out and who knows I still may make some more and use them this Christmas, lol! Well the card is 5 1/4" tall and is a tri-fold card and opens three ways. I created it on Design Studio (I still haven't used the Cricut Craft Room, I like new technology but it takes me awhile to get into it, lol!) I still like my DS!
Here's a view of the card opened. I used George and Doodlecharms for this card, Doodlecharms is always a cute, go to, cart. I welded then cut the snowglobe @ 3 1/2" and the snowman is cut @ 2". You can use any shape you want to weld onto the rectangle base and I chose to use a rounded corner rectangle from George cut @ 5" and stretched a bit to fit the size I wanted. And the Cute little Snowman is welded and 2". Now for the actual snowglobe I re-used a cartridge clamshell and hand cut a circle and then embossed it with the cuttlebug snowflake folder.
Here's a close up of the little Cutie! I ran him through my little Xyron machine and glittered him with Martha Stewart glitter to make him sparkle then used black bling for his coal eyes and buttons and used some twine for his scarf.
Now here's the close up of the Globe with the embossed plastic clamshell. Now the snowflakes are also a Martha Stewart punch and also added some bling (You know me, love the bling, lol)! Added some more twine and a little bread tag (yes an actual bread tag) with a snowflake added on it!
And here's one more picture of the closed up tri-fold card for you to see in all it's cuteness!

Now don't forget of the great blog sponsor goodies up for grabs Stephanie with Whimsical Designs is our sponsor this month and you could win this awesome prize of ALL of her stamps ($60 value) but remember you have to play to win so lets see your NEW "Snowmen" creations and link up to the Stuck On U Sketches linky. You have two weeks to enter for this challenge and the more challenges you enter the more chances you get to win. So Good Luck!

I hope you all have a Great weekend and get to do some crafting done and hope to see your Adorable little "Snowmen" creations! Remember I love the little snow people so I'm really looking forward to seeing all your cute creations and don't forget the Amazing Design Team, Wow, so much inspiration and talent with all these Ladies, make sure and check them all out, you won't be sorry!

I Like Your Style BBTB2!

Hi Everyone, It's Monday and a new challenge day over at Bitten By The Bug 2! Today is Jeri's day to pick and she chose the Dimensional Flower from "Bloom" (Row 4, Key 10) Well Bloom is one of my favorite carts and you all know I LOVE Flowers so of course I had Fun with this one! Now remember if you don't have the Bloom cart, you can use Any dimensional flowers from Any cart with flowers, and there are Plenty of them (another fav and fairly new one is the Flower Shoppe cart too, and now the newest is Giant Flowers!)
Well I have been on a roll with the Easel cards lately haven't I, lol! Well here's another one! For my Frame I used Sophisticated (pg. 71) cut @ 4" and stood it to go vertical other then horizontal. I did a couple of layers (as always) for some added dimension. And don't you just love the Vintage Image! It's not a stamp (but sure would be a great one, don't you think) it's actually from Graphics Fairy! She always has great Vintage images. You should check her blog out!
Well Jeri wanted us to use dimensional flowers and I had to add a few Roses I made with the flower cut from Bloom. Now there are plenty of  tutorials on YouTube if you would like to learn how to make them, just type in How to make Paper Roses. I even think Tim Holtz has a tut using his grunge paper. Added a few leaves made with a punch and then inked with Quick Quotes Powderpuff Chalk Ink Green With Envy. I also used Pink Cheeks QQ ink on the flowers and the rest of the card.
Now I used my Spellbinders nesties (Labels Four Small) to cut out my sayings. Now I used an older Stampin Up Stamp for the Sentiment called, wait for it.......................
I Like Your Style!
Here's a close up of the Flowers, Dimension, And of course had to add some Bling!

Well I sure hope you join us over at BBTB2 and don't forget if you don't have the Bloom cartridge you can use Any cart with Flowers, just make them Dimensional AND it has to be a NEW creation, You could win our great POW (Pick Of The Week) Blinkie to add to your Blog, along with braggin rights! Now make sure that you also check out the Design Teams Projects. They are always so inspirational and so amazingly talented!
Have a Great Week!

((Hugs)) and Take Care,
Theresa

Quick Quotes Sneak Peeks combined with Spellbinders!

Hi everyone and today I'm sharing the last of the new paper releases from Quick Quotes that will be at CHA this year and I can say that these are my FAVORITE!!! It's called "One Fine Day" and I Love, Love, Love the colors and designs on these! I will definitely be getting more of these papers, I have a few more ideas that I want to do with them, along with my Spellbinders Dies!
Yes I used my Spellbinders Grand Caliber Die Cut Machine along with some great dies to create this Gorgeous Easel card!
It's a pretty big card (6" x 6 1/2") and 5" when opened and in Easel position and it is a non-traditional Baby Card! (How's that for thinking outside the box, lol!) I used by brand spankin new die, Spellbinders Creative Book Pages for the basic card shape and then added some of the "pages" for the popped layers along with using the Spellbinders Labels Four Small to showcase my stamped saying. I also inked everything with Quick Quotes Mocha Mama Powderpuff Chalk Ink
Now here is a view from the top so you can see the pretty flowers, Birds Nest Stamp (which I colored with Colored Pencils and Gamsol) Bow, Bling and all that Dimension!
Here's a pic of the birds nest stamped image. It's a stamp I've had for quite awhile and I just love it! I forgot I had it but since doing some cleaning and reorganizing I found it! Now I don't have any Copic markers (Yet, lol) so I still do it the old fashioned way with colored pencils and Gamsol (Mineral Spirits) I stamped the image with Staz On Ink and then colored with my Prismacolor Pencils, it doesn't have to be perfect, you can leave some white peeking through, and then you just use a blending stump and Gamsol to "blend" the colors. You dip the stump in the gamsol and then touch it to the colors and they blend (almost like water colors). I'm going to try a paint brush next time I do this, just curious how it will work!!!! You need to keep dipping your stump into the gamsol and may need to use a couple of different stumps because you don't want the colors to smear into each other, but that's it! Looks pretty good and since I've Never used Copics I can't compare, but I will take the plunge one day, I just don't need another obsession at the moment, LOL!
Now here's a close up of the Spellbinders Labels Four Small Die along with a little added Bling!
Here's a close up of the gorgeous flowers with, of course, some added Bling!
And last but not least one last picture at another angle to show you some of the dimension and those gorgeous papers!
Well I sure hope you all enjoyed the sneak peeks from CHA and the new Quick Quotes Papers and all the fun we had with our Grand Caliber Machines (Thank You Again Spellbinders!) I love all the gorgeous colors and so much versatility with each line (One Fine Day is my FAV so far, lol)  Which ones are your favs and what will you be creating with them once you get your hands on them?! Please, do share with us!
((Hugs)) and Take Care, Theresa

Winter Fun With SOUS!

Hi everyone and how about some Winter Fun! We finally got some snow today after some rain which means ice and that means no school here today! Well at least it's Friday and now McCade gets a three day weekend! I worked yesterday so I'm taking today off so that worked out good since I don't have (or like) to drive in it! =] Well I think I'll be doing some scrappin today since I love to craft when it's stormy outside! And if we get enough snow I think we'll go outside and have some "Winter Fun"! Also over at the Stuck On U Sketches we're having some Winter Fun also. Yep how perfect is that, couldn't have timed this better then to have a "Winter Fun" challenge!
Well I've been seeing lots of these Twisted Easel Cards lately and just had to try one. I've made the traditional Easel cards before but like the "twist" these have. It's a 5 1/2" x 4" size so it's a basic card size and then when it's standing open it's a perfect size I think. I used the Winter Frolic cartridge, love this cart, so many cute images on it. I just got it at the black Friday sale and I can't believe I waited this long to get it! I loved this cute little Bunny on ski's, (he's popped with a little spring so he wiggles, hee hee!) I'm NOT a skier at all, I've tried and just don't like it, lol, I don't like to be cold and wear all the binding clothes to stay warm. Now I do like to sled and in our backyard on our land we have some Great sledding hills and we take the 4-wheeler out and drag the kids back up the hills once they sled down them (so the big kids get to play in the snow too, lol!) so they get to sled down and then sled Up also, lots of Winter Fun!
Here's another view of the card and you can see more of the dimension of the wiggly Bunny. Everything is popped and had to add a bit of 'Frost" on it with some "Crystal" Stickles.
Another view, you can see more of the frost and of course had to add a bit of bling! =] I also did some embossing on the hills and then inked them with a light blue ink to bring out the texture.
And here is a great view of all the dimension.

Now I sure hope you join us over at the SOUS blog, we also have a Great Sponsor to go along with the challenge this month from Stephanie from Whimsical Designs and she has some of her stamps this month ($60 value):
Now you just have to create a NEW project to upload to the SOUS link sharing some Winter Fun with us. You can also enter ANY of the other challenges for the month and it gives you more entries. Also hope you visit the Design Team gals, they are sure enjoying the Winter Fun challenge and they are always inspiring so make sure you check them out and show them some love.
((Hugs)) and Take Care (and stay Warm!) =]

QQ CHA Sneak Peek with Summer Samba and Spellbinders!

Hi everyone and I have another CHA preview to share with you! It makes me all warm and makes me think of Summer which is kind of crazy when it's saposta be Winter right now! Well I don't know about you but we've had a pretty mild winter in my neck of the woods with only one day of snow so far. Don't get me wrong, I like the snow but I'm not a big fan of driving in it, LOL!
Well I have a layout to share with you today! This is using the new release from Quick Quotes called Summer Samba! And like I said before it reminds me of Summer! Love the bright cheery colors and I just had to add the cute pictures of my little man on his first trip to the beach! I also used my Spellbinders Grand Caliber Die Cutting Machine and of course some Spellbinder Dies! The ones I used on this project are, Sprightly Sprockets, Labels Four SMClassic Scalloped Circles LG, and Dahlia.
For some added dimension I fussy cut the flowers on the QQ Summer Samba paper and popped it after inking it with QQ Powderpuff Blue Hawaiian Chalk Ink for added depth.
For my Banner I used one of my Spellbinder Labels Four SM Die and folded them over a piece of blue and white twine, added a flower and of course can't forget the bling!
1
Now what do you think of my Sun!? I made it with 3 different dies! The yellow is Spellbinders Sprightly Sprockets, Red is Spellbinders Lg Scalloped Circles and the New QQ Vellum Quote is cut with the Dahlia Die, inked with QQ Blue Hawaiian Chalk Ink, another flower and a touch of bling.
And here's a close up of the fussy cut Summer Samba papers popped and some added bling.

Hope you liked the new QQ Summer Samba papers and are making plans on what your going to be making with them once they are released! Hope I've inspired you and look forward to see what you create.

Extras used were minimal: Bling: Hobby Lobby, Flowers: Prima, Twine: Lily (Sugar N Cream) & Pop Dots.

BBTB2 Walk In My Garden Challenge!

Hi Everyone and as always Mondays are always a new Bitten By The Bug 2 challenge and today there is a new challenge using an oldie but a goodie cartridge! This was one of the very first cartridges that I got when I got my 1st Baby bug back in 2006 (but I may have bought the cart in 2007) The cartridge is "Walk In My Garden"! And Carole picked the cute little Caterpillar to use! Well I had some fun with this challenge, I have a friend that lives in another state and I'm going to be sending this to her. I haven't seen her since I moved from Vegas and haven't had a chance to chat with her all that much either, you know how life just does that to us sometimes! But I sure hope she gets a kick out of it! (She loves flowers too!)

I'm trying to get into the winter here but we sure haven't had much of one here in Kentucky and only had one day of snow so far but it was gone the next day and we've been having days in the 50's and 60's, not really much winter so why not think Spring, lol! I love Sunflowers and this is an all time favorites of mine from alot of the carts. I made the (card) Pot @ 4 1/2" so it's a nice size card. The little Caterpillar is cut @ 1 1/2" and everything is popped and has a few layers! I did some embossing too and inked everything for some added dimension and depth.

Here's another view of the dimension and Oh yeah, I can't forget those cute little googly eyes on the cute little Caterpillar!
And yet another view of all the dimension and layers!

Well I sure hope you join us over at BBTB2 for the fun Walk In My Garden Caterpillar challenge. Now remember if you don't have the WIMG cartridge you can use any cart with a Caterpillar on it, but remember, it MUST be a NEW creation and link up with the link on the BBTB2 Blog. You could win our great POW (Pick Of the Week) Blinkie to display on you blog, along with bragging rights of course! You have two weeks to submit so hope to see you there! Have a Great Week and make sure you go check out the Designers creations, they always are so creative and inspiring so show them some love and Check Em Out!

Quick Quotes and Spellbinders!

Hi everyone and I want to say a belated Happy New Year to everyone!
Well I have a fun card I made (shhhh, it's for my Dear Daughter, lol) and I had the privilege of getting to use some of the new releases for CHA from Quick Quotes and the paper lines I used is Dreamscape! I also got to use my Grand Caliber from Spellbinders that all of us gals on the Design Team were lucky to receive from Spellbinders (Thank You Spellbinders for an Amazing Machine!) Now I used a couple of Spellbinders dies for this card, the Scalloped Edge Frame with flower accents, Sprightly Sprockets (designed by Donna Salazar), and Ribbon Banners on this card. Some of the sprockets I used I turned into flowers, pretty cute huh, and versatile (how's that for thinking outside the box, lol!)  I also inked everything with Very Berry Powderpuff Chalk Ink and popped everything for some extra dimension and some added pizzazz! I used some yellow ric rac to bring out the yellow in the dreamscape papers and the stamped image is from Cloud 9 Design.
Here is a side view of the card for a better view of the die cuts and dimension.
And yet another view of the dimension!

Well I know you are all going to be pretty excited for the new releases for CHA, we are going to be highlighting them this month so make sure you come back to get your sneak peeks and we will also be highlighting our Spellbinders Grand Caliber so keep your eyes peeled on the Quick Quotes Blog for all your Inspiration!

((Hugs)) and Take Care, Theresa
