This week over at Stuck On U Sketches Die Cut Challenge the challenge is "Fruit" and I just Had to do something with Strawberries since they are everywhere lately and I just LOVE Strawberries! So what do you think, "Sweet" huh, lol! I used the strawberry on the Preserves cartridge and made it into a shape card and also added some dimension, embossing, inking and a bit of doodling.
I sure hope you join us over at SOUS for the challenge, just remember to think "Fruit" and lets see what kind of Fruit projects you come up with! And make sure to check out what all the amazing projects that the Design Team Gals created, they truly are Amazing!

April Showers - Bring the Flowers and a challenge @ SOUS!

Hi everyone, long time no post (so sorry) but been busy, busy, busy! McCade was off last week for Easter break and then Ken took the week off to do some home improvements around the house and I had so many things that I wanted to get done also but can you believe it, I started a new job! I'm still at Hallmark since it's only part time but I had to do some training last week and needed to be focused since I seem to go in to many directions so I needed to concentrate so I put everything on the back burner. I'll fill you in on the new job in another post since I need to get this done quick and get to work again but as you know over at Stuck On U Sketches we have another challenge for you!
This week is "April Showers" and when I hear that I always think of Flowers and Umbrellas so that's what I gave you! I had a heck of a time on this Easel card (started it 3 times, can you believe that, lol) and I'm still not liking it but here it is! I used the Celebrate With Flourish cartridge on this and cut my Umbrella @ 6" and the wording is cut @ 3 1/2". My little flowers are a punch and added some Bead in a Bottle for the centers and also used my Spellbinders dies for the cut out die with the "Bring The Flowers"! Now I know the saying is April Showers Bring May Flowers but when I was little I always used to say April Showers Bring The Flowers!

Now make sure you check out the Gals over at The SOUS Blog (amazing projects, as always) so I hope you join us for the April Showers challenge!
Thank Goodness it's Friday and I have Saturday off so I hope I get a chance to get some gardening done (wish me luck, lol!)
Have a Great Weekend!

Spring Is In The Air with SOUS!

Hi everyone and Boy Oh Boy, Spring sure is in the Air and all of us over at Stuck On U Sketches are Celebrating Spring with some really Fun Springy projects to share with you all!
Well I don't know about you all but here in Kentucky there are so many flowers that just grow wild all over out here and I don't know about you but what says Spring better then Wildflowers (or flowers in general, lol)! Well McCade loves to pick me some wildflowers and we always put them in a old Vintage Yellow Pitcher and this image from the Country Life Cartridge reminded me of that! Now I know this looks like and Easel card, and it is, but it has a little surprise on it too...........................
The Pitcher actually opens for another little card, so it's a card on a card! Now I cut the image at 6" so it's a nice size card so the actual card is about a 6" x 7", so its a nice size! And with it being an Easel card it has it's own frame! The Paper is from Quick Quotes along with the Chalk Mocha Mama Ink and I also used a Spellbinders die for the stamped image and the stamp is from Whimsical Designs Stamps. A Martha Stewart punch, some Vintage Seam Binding and of course some Bling.

Now I sure hope you join us over at the SOUS Blog for the challenge. You have two weeks to enter and it just has to be a NEW project and please add a link back to SOUS, that's it! Oh and I almost forgot, there's some REALLY Awesome candy to be won! Nanne made some Beautiful Handmade Roses to be won! Boy I sure wish I could enter! (Maybe I'll try sneaking an entry in there, do you think anyone will notice, lol!) Just Kidding, I'm just going to have to try and make me some! See You all there!

I love that you can make boxes and cards too....not just flat pieces. Thanks for sharing your story! Follower #588

Drop me an e-mail Michele at mccadesmom@gmail.com so I can get your cartridge out to you. Thank You all for the Wonderful comments everyone left me and I have to say I Really enjoyed getting to know the Design Team.

Princess Challenge with BBTB2!

Another Monday and another Fun challenge over at BBTB2 and today my Lovely, Talented Design Team Sister Mona has chose "Princess" from any cartridge of your choosing! Well my first thought was "Once Upon A Princess" so that is where my project came from. What Princess doesn't have a Crown and I cut mine @ 3 1/2" and welded it in Design Studio to make a card. Then I used the Word "Princess" with a few layers cut it @ 2". Now this is a pretty simple card for me but you know me, I had to add some dimension, so lots of pop dots, lol! Added a few pretty flowers from Recollections and just a few touchs of the bling in a little crown and a star from some I had (and sorry I don't remember where I got them from) and then on the little princess hat I added some Iridescent streamers (actually it's some shiny iridescent string, lol) but thought it was perfect and I just made a little tassel and glued it on and added a touch more bling. Then I added some Bead In A Bottle for some more texture (actually I wish I would have used some purple bling) but it does look better in person.

Well that's it, I sure hope you join us over at BBTB2 for the Princess challenge. Just remember, it has to be a NEW Project and you need to add our blog link to your post. Pretty easy and you could be the proud recipient of our POW (Pick of the Week) Blinkie to add to your blog, along with bragging rights of course, lol! See you over at Bitten By The Bug 2 and have a great week!

Stuck On U Sketches "Get to Know Me" Blog Hop!

Hi everyone and Woo Hoo it's the weekend! I haven't posted in awhile but today I have a treat for you all! Over at Stuck On U Sketches we are having a "Get to Know Me" Blog Hop and we all love a good Blog Hop and then getting to know all the Amazing gals on the Design Team over at SOUS is even better! And then on top of that.........................................BLOG CANDY!!!!!!
Stuck On U Sketches Main Blog and I also have some Yummy Candy for you too!

Well enough chatter let's get on with it and hopefully you'll enjoy "Getting to Know ME, LOL"!
Sandi created the Sketch for us to create a layout about us and we hope after all the inspiration you see from the Design Team you decide to join us over at the SOUS Blog! Now if you've arrived from my Amazingly Talented and Lovely Design Team Sister Stine Ursin, you are on the right track but remember if you ever get lost or if you started here you can always hop on over to the Stuck On U Sketches Blog for the complete line up.
Now I have to tell you I had a heck of a time finding a picture of me (let alone a decent looking picture of me, lol!) but this pic has always been a favorite of mine and I've always wanted to scrap it, so what a perfect excuse! This is a picture of my Dear Daughter and I from awhile back. (Sorry about the glare, it's looks like we REALLY need a tan, and No we were not glowing, lol!) Isn't she Beautiful! Okay now we also have a few Questions that we need to answer so I'll try and be as Brief as possible but if you know me, that is going to be a chore, lol!
1. If you were a crayon what color would you be and Why?
Well Duh, I bet you can guess that one........... RED of Course, lol! I've always's just loved that color in clothes, Home Decor and Yep, you guessed it, My Hair, lol! It's just such a Fun color and you can do so much with it!
2. What would people be surprised to learn about you?
No surprises here, I'm an open book, LOL! But if it has to be something it would be that I work for Hallmark even tho I make my own cards, lol, go figure!
3. What 5 things are always on your crafting table?
Bling, Pop dots, Glitter, Flowers (all kinds), and Ribbon!
4. Your Go To embellishment is...............
I bet you can guess that one right off...........................
BLING, of course, lol! Oh yea and gotta have dimension so lots of pop dots! (Sorry that's two!) =]
5. What is your all-time Favorite Crafting tool?
My Cricut of Course!
6. Tell us about your Family, first in one word. Then in a sentence or two.
Close! We do Everything together and we are very Close, lots of Love here!
7. What is your Dream Vacation?
Packing up in our Travel Trailer and hitting ALL the National Parks, Lakes and anyplace else that we could visit and enjoy the Beautiful Scenery all over the USA!
8. Who is your favorite Crafty Company?
I like alot of the companies but as I look around my craft space the thing I see the most is Provo Craft products!
9. Tell us a bit about your Crafty Style.
Well I go in waves I think. I don't necessarily have a certain style, I just kind of go with what I feel at the moment but I do like bold colors and since I love to use my Cricut I tend to use alot of cardstock over print papers and I just Have to have layers and of course some added Bling! But I'm really a fan of Vintage and I love to recycle!
10. Where do you live?
Well I live in Kentucky at the moment, I grew up in So. California and then lived in Las Vegas NV for 14 years before moving to KY. Yes I know, what a culture shock, but I really like my little house in the Country and I get to have all different kinds of animals, and I live a very simple life style now and Love it!
Well I sure hope I didn't bore you to tears (or you haven't fallen asleep, lol) but that was kinda fun, I do have to say. I'm really looking forward to reading all my Design Team Sister's answers too, I think it will be alot of fun, I've made some really great friends from the scrappy blog-a-sphere and getting to know other's that are as obsessed about crafting as you are is so much Fun!

Well let me tell you a tiny bit about my layout before I send you on your way to the next blog in the hop. I used a few carts on this layout, for the Title and Frame I used Sophisticated. Title cut @ 3" with the shadow, Frame cut @ 7'. The Butterfly is from Sentimentals cut @ 2". The Heart Journal card is from Sophie cut @ 3" (and yes it does open!) And the Flowers are from Flower Shoppe and they are cut @ 3", 4", & 5". Everything is popped for dimension (like I said I Love the layers, lol!) I used the Martha Stewart Garden Trellis punch for the punched edge. The ribobn is from Quick Quotes along with the ink which is Mocha Mama Chalk ink. And of course like I said before I GOTTA have the Bling!
Here's a close up of my Journaling heart, if you've been following me for awhile you all know I love my little hidden journal spots!
And here's a close up of the picture of my Daughter and I, and those fun flowers! (See I told you I LOVE RED, LOL!)
Now this is my Yummy Blog Candy I will be giving away! With Summer coming this is a perfect cartridge to do some Fun In The Sun creating with, it's an older cart but such a Fun one! I just have a couple of rules to follow (and I will be checking, lol!) You must me a follower of MY Blog along with the Stuck On U Sketches blog, You MUST leave a comment here on my blog telling me which Die Cut Machine (or Machines) you use (If you use one, that is) and why you love that machine, that's it, pretty easy don't you think!?

And here is the Yummy Blog Candy on the SOUS Blog:
A winner will be randomly chosen after the hop is over. It is important to leave a comment on each blog.

The Blog Hop starts today, 7:00 AM EDT USA March 30th and runs through 11:59pm USA EDT on Sunday April 1st .

"WELCOME" Friends Any Cartridge Challenge with BBTB2 and the Cricut Monthly Circle Challenge!

Hi Everyone and Happy Monday and you know what that means! Bitten By The Bug 2 Challenge day and I get the privilege of being the host of this weeks challenge and I decided I wanted to "WELCOME" all my Friends to join us and I chose to use ANY "WELCOME" from ANY Cartridge! Now I decided to do a Home Dec project but you can do Any project, but if the fancy strikes you I'd LOVE for you to join me and do a Home Dec project too!
I'm also adding this to the Cricut Monthly Circle Challenge which is to create a Wall Art project. Well I did the Framed Welcome project and also a Vinyl project. It's not on the Wall per say but it's on the Step of the Stairs attached to the wall, I sure hope that counts for Wall Art! You sure can't miss it when you come in Our House, lol!

Now I know some of you know that we built our house (and I mean physically Built it ourselves) and any of you that have ever done that or even did renovations know that it's a never ending project! Well we just put some of the finishing touches on the Family room and that meant putting some new stairs in and I have been dying to do this and just LOVE how it came out!
I used the Quarter Note Cartridge and welded the letters together using Design Studio and cut them @ 4". The flowers are from the Storybook Cartridge and cut @ 3 1/2". Now this was my first attempt at using vinyl (other then on the glittered Xmas ornaments) and I can say I will be doing it again! I almost gave up at first because I used some crappy Vinyl (the Paper Studio, has anyone else had a problem with that brand?) and it wouldn't even stay on the backing of what it came in, it kept coming up when it was cutting. Now I had originally wanted to use black vinyl but like I said it wouldn't stay on the backing so I used this Red and it actually goes perfect with my Red Wall, almost the same Red, I couldn't have planned that any better, lol!

(Sorry the pic looks like crap, I've been having MAJOR issues with blogger lately and for some reason my pictures are not coming through even tho they look fine on my computer, anyone else having this issue, this was the best pic I could get of this pic to show up on my blog, What's Up!?)

Well when I was trying to figure out the size I wanted I thought I would practice on some cardstock and then remembered I had these frames that I had bought so I figured I would make me a "Welcome" picture also. The Welcome is cut @ 4" and the scroll on the picture is from Home Decor and cut @ 2 1/2" and then it just need something and you know me, had to add some Bling, lol! The paper is from the DCWV Green Stack and I'm going to have to get me some longer paper because I had to piece it together for it to fit since the frame is 9" x 18" and it came from Walmart maybe around $5 (?) I think this would be a perfect gift for someone and I will be definitely be making more of these in the future!

Well That's my project for the "WELCOME" BBTB2 Challenge! I sure hope you join us and remember, it doesn't have to be Home Dec (although I'd love it if you did, lol) but it has to be a NEW project (no back linking) and please add a link back to BBTB2! You can use ANY Cartridge and just use the word "WELCOME", that's it!

We also have a sponsor this week with My Creative Classroom, hop on over and check them out and check out BBTB2 for all the rules! One person will win a seat at one of their online classes so more reason to join in the fun!

So "Welcome Friends" and don't forget to check out the Design Team Gals projects, they always inspire and motivate, and have a Wonderful Week!!!

Theresa

Monday Challenge with BBTB2!

Hi everyone and Happy Monday! It's another challenge day as always with BBTB2 and this week the Wonderful, Sweet and Talented Julia got to pick our challenge and she decided she was ready for Spring to get here so she Our challenge is to use ANY Bunny or Chick from Any cartridge! How Easy Peasy is that!

Well I'm going to share with you another page from my 2012 calendar for the month of April! Well we all know that Easter is coming and of course how perfect for my calendar post then to use a  Hoppy Easter theme! Well I used the Celebrate with Flourish cartridge for my page (yes I used the same cartridge for March also) but this is just a perfect cartridge for a calendar. Well I cut my Bunny @ 4" and my Saying @ 3". Used the shadow and had to add some dimension so I popped the Bunny and partial cut the flowers from the base layer because it doesn't have a layer for the flowers.
Now the little birdie and banner is from the calendar kit so I didn't have to cut them out, they just go on the page but I did add some bling to the little birdies wing. You know me have to add some bling to just about EVERYthing, lol, (gotta love the bling, lol!) I also did a bit of doodling on the banner and also the Hoppy Easter.
Here's a pic of the dimension (and of course the bling, lol!)

Well I sure hope you join us over at BBTB2 for the Bunny or Chick challenge. You have two weeks to link up your project, just make sure it's a NEW creation and you add a link back to our blog! Now don't forget to check out my Amazing Design Team Sister's Project's also, they all are So Amazing! Have a great week and hope to see you there!

"Cameo/Silhouette" New Challenge at SOUS!

Hi everyone and Woo Hoo it's Friday! Well it's another challenge day over at Stuck On U Sketch's Die Cut Challenge and the challenge is to use a "Cameo/Silhouette" for your project. Well I used the Forever Young cartridge and my Cricut because I just LOVE the Silhouettes on it. They are so Fun and knew I wanted to make two different cards using the negative space from one of them. I also wanted it to be kind of Vintage so I used this pretty paper from K & Company. Well I cut my Silhouette's @ 4" and cut two because, you know me gotta have some dimension! Then with the negative space of the silhouette I did my Fun Packing Tape Technique and added some pretty pink Martha Stewart Glitter for a whole new look to my silhouette! Added them to the frame and of course had to pop those layers too. Now to accent my silhouettes I had to dress them up a bit with a couple of pearl necklaces and they are both have some pretty gemstones dangling there. Then one has a bow in her hair and one has a flower, So Elegant and Pretty!
Here is a view of the purple card and all the details close up. Added some pretty recollections flowers to cascade at the top along with my much loved Bling. Added a few fancy photo corners with some more added bling. I also used a Martha Stewart punch and added a pretty sheer ribbon along with some more bling. And the "Seriously?" is cut @ 1" with the shadow and of course popped for some added dimension.
Here is the Pink card close up with some Pearl Bling added to this one and a Crepe Paper flower that I had made (you know me and my handmade flowers, Love them!) "Seriously?" is also cut @1" on this also and popped and then to the inside of the cards the sayings.................................
Are from Stephanie's new stamps at Whimsical Designs and you can purchase them HERE. I used my Nesties from Spellbinders for my scalloped ovals for the inside. (Yay, I finished the inside, lol)!
Here is another view to the purple card and you can see the Martha Stewart Punch a little bit better on this one and the popped dimension too.
And here is another view of the pink one so you can see the sparkle a bit better.
Another close up of the Pink Glitter Silhouette and can you see I also added a little pearl earring!
And also a close up of the purple one and the popped silhouette and those fun flowers.

Well I sure hope you join us for the Cameo/Silhouette challenge over at SOUS Die Cut Challenge! The challenge is open for two weeks and all we ask is that you use some Die Cut Machine. It doesn't have to be the Cricut (that is the one that I have) any Die Cut Machine will do (and there are many out there now) it has to be a NEW creation (no back linking) and please we would love that you add our link in your post so some of your friends and followers might want to join us. You know the more the merrier I always say, LOL! Now if you stopped by here first make sure you check out the Design Team Gals over at the Stuck On U Sketches Blog, they are ALWAYS Amazing with what they come up with so make sure to check them out! I hope you have a Great weekend and get to get some crafting done and hope to see you over at SOUS! Thanks for stopping by!

Going Green With Whimsical Wednesday's!

**Sorry my post didn't post at the right time I had the times mixed up (ooops!) =[ **

Well It's Wednesday and we have another challenge over at Whimsical Design's and this week we're "Going Green". Now with the last name of "Kelly" everyone just assumes I'm Irish (my Father was) and I have to tell you I'm only Half (the other half is Italian!) I know what a combination (and yes I do have a temper at times, lol)! Now my Husband is Irish so that makes McCade as Irish as you can get and with the name McCade Patrick Kelly everyone always say's "Boy that's an Irish name is I ever heard one", lol! Well I have to tell you I don't really celebrate this holiday much other than wearing green on St. Patty's, but I HAVE to have Corned Beef and Cabbage on that day! I love it and I always make a huge pot of it and invite the neighbor's over, you know the more the merrier (they had never had it until I fixed it for them and now it's a tradition!) And I'm not a big fan of Beer so I will usually make Irish Coffee's after dinner, so if your in my neck of the woods on St. Patrick's, come on over, it'll be lot's of Fun!

Okay now on to my Whimsical Wednesday post!
For this card I used some Spellbinders Shapeabilities (along with a Spellbinders Banner) for my card. I just got these this week so I was pretty excited to use them. I actually won a gift certificate from Tim Holtz when he did his tags of Xmas to Inspiration Emporium and this is what I got with it, How Fun! Well it's a pretty simple card for me and can you believe I didn't use my Cricut Again! I added some lace and of course some bling and the stamp is one of Stephanie's that you can purchase HERE if you like.

Well I sure hope you join us over at the Whimsical Wednesday Challenge, you have two weeks and all the info is in the link, just remember it has to be a NEW creation and please link back to Whimsical Designs, we would love to have your friends join in the fun too!

Well I sure would love to know if you join in the Celebration of St. Patty's and what your traditions are if you do so if you wouldn't mind I'd love to hear what they are in your comments (maybe I could start a new tradition from some of your ideas, lol) There was an Adorable Little Leprechaun Hut I seen on a new blog I found from a Gal named Holly and you can check it out HERE, McCade and I will be making one of these, it is Just Too Darn CUTE! On that note I'm off to get my SOUS challenge done!

Theresa

Luck O' the Irish with BBTB2!

Hi everyone and Happy Monday to You! You all know the routine here on Monday's, it's challenge day over at BBTB2 and today Lori picked the Shamrocks from the Celebrate with Flourish Cartridge. Well I have used this Calendar Kit from Recollections and instead of using pictures I decided that I would do some die cuts each month and this is for the month of March! I cut my Shamrocks @ 4" and my Saying @ 2". I did some embossing then added some layers and I even popped the pre-made shamrock that came with the kit. Added a Martha Stewart border punch at the top, some velvet ribbon and of course some Bling!
So what do you think of my 2012 Calendar!? I guess I'll have to show you my January and February pages also (but that will be another post) Something to look forward to, lol!

Well this is going to be one of the shortest posts for me Ever, lol! I sure hope that you join us over at BBTB2 for the Shamrock challenge, just remember it has to be a NEW project and please link back to BBTB2. Our Challenges are open for two weeks so have fun with it and hope to see you there!

Sketch Challenge with Whimsical Designs!

Hi Everyone and what a Whimsical Day with Whimsical Wednesday Challenge. This week we have a Super Fun Sketch Challenge that our Super Talented Nanne has created for us to Design with!
Now I have another confession for you this week (boy I have alot of issues don't I , LOL!) Well I have to say, I have a Huge Fear of Sketches (gasp!) They really frighten me for some reason, lol! I just Love to look at sketches and and love what other people do with them but whenever I have to use one, I get really nervous, lol! They always seem so easy but when I print it out and wonder what I'm going to do I get all nervous and just stare at it for days! This was no different and even tho I didn't follow it to a tee I did use the concept, lol!
Well as some of you may know I've been going through alot of my craft supplies because my Wonderful Hubby gave me a new scrapbook area! (It still needs finishing and when it's done I will show you it, I promise, lol!) Well in my "Cleaning" I came across these little felt coasters from Michael's that alot of people were using a few years ago and I have this paper stack that I just Love from K & Company (very Vintage looking papers) and I knew I just had to do something with them and I didn't want to use my Cricut (GASP!) I know, not use my Cricut! Did I fall down and hit my head or something you ask!? No I just figure it's a Sketch challenge, and since they frighten me, I figured, why not really challenge myself and Not use my Cricut! So I didn't! What do you think!? I really Love it! Love the colors, so Springy and Fresh and of course I had to add some sparkle! I did use my Cuttlebug and a few punches though. All the scalloped circles that the pink coaster is on is my scalloped Spellbinders die and the large butterfly is a cuttlebug die. The small butterfly is a MS punch and the flower I made with a EK Success punch. I hand cut the banner/flags using some scrap pieces and I inked every thing to give it a even more Vintage feel and then popped most of the layers for some depth and dimension. Added some stickles to the butterflies for a bit more sparkle.
I also added some Cute little Pom Pom trim and a bit of eyelet lace I had and added a pretty little resin flower. Then I used Stephanie's new Stamp "Everyday Sentiments" and embossed it. I have to say this is the first time in ALONG time that I did some heat embossing (and it won't be the last) but I have to ask you all, "Any pointers for embossing!?" And does embossing powder go bad or do I just have some old, not very good embossing powder (not this one, I had a few trial and error ones, lol)? And also, what is a good embossing ink to use!? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!!!!!
Well here is the Sketch that Nanne created and the one we were to use as our challenge. I sure hope you decide to join us over at Whimsical Wednesday Designs for the challenge, remember it's open for two weeks so make sure you link up and play along with us. Please make sure it's a new creation and please link to Whimsical Wednesdays Blog in your post, there are the full requirements on the Whimsical Wednesday's Blog so make sure you check them out.
And if your Lovin the Sentiment on my card you can get some of your own right HERE! So much fun and so many uses for all the sentiments so make sure to check them out!

Have a great rest of the week and hope you get to do some crafting and decide to join us.
Until next time.........................................

Theresa

Monogram Challenge over at BBTB2!

Hi everyone and it's Monday and another challenge day over at BBTB2 and this week the Uber Talented Donna has picked "Any Monogram" from ANY cartridge you would like! Almost any font cartridge can be turned into a monogram so you have lots of options so no excuse for not joining us this week, lol! I used the Sophisticated Cartridge by Teresa Collins for my Monogram and I used some fun Jenni Bowlin designer papers and went with a Red, Black and Cream color scheme this week using a pre-made card base. I cut my frame @ 5" and did some hide contour in Design Studio for my black background and then inked my Red with some black chalk. I also cut the Argyle image @ 3 1/2" to add a little more interest for my actual Monogram which is obviously a "T" and it was cut @ 2 1/2" and cut with the shadow. Thank You was cut @ 2" with the shadow and then everything has some pop with pop dots for more depth and dimension. And you know me I had to add some Bling!
Here's a view of the popped layers!
And can you actually believe I finished the inside, Woo Hoo! I used the shadow from the argyle and the negative pieces are the cut outs from the argyle image on the front of the card, and of course, more bling, LOL!

Well I sure hope you decide to join us for the "Monogram Challenge" You can use ANY cartridge. It just has to be a NEW creation and please add a link to BBTB2. Also there have been some new issues with the Word Verify on the comments on some of the participants blogs and We, at BBTB2, would love it if you could turn off WV. There is a Very Nice post on the main BBTB2 Blog addressing the issue so please make sure you check it out. With that being said I sure hope to see you for our new challenge and hope you have a wonderful week and have Fun Creating! I will be going to the New Hobby Lobby that is opening in the next town over from me (YIPPEE!) I don't have to drive 2 1/2 hours now to get to the closest one, now it's only 45 minutes! Boy I'm moving up in the World, LOL! That's what I miss the most about living in the Country, not having a craft store close by, and not any Good Restaurants (so we do alot of home cooking) I guess it saves us some money in the long run, lol! Well on that note,
I'm off to Hobby Lobby...........................!

"Love" with Stuck On U Sketches Die Cut Challenge!

Hey everyone and I can't believe it's Friday already! Holy Cow, I've had 3 posts this week, can you believe it! Time sure flies when when you don't have enough of it, LOL! Well today is another reveal day over at Stuck On U Sketches and the challenge this week is "LOVE"! Any kind of Love you can interpret! Well I have a confession to share with you all! This was going to be my project for BBTB2 a couple of weeks ago but as I was cleaning up my new scrap space, I guess I just cleaned TO GOOD and this got stuck in with some papers and I COULD NOT it find anywhere, till this weekend, LOL! So with my work schedule and being short on time (again!) this is my "LOVE" challenge project! Please forgive me, I didn't get my other one done (hanging my head in shame!) But I do "Love You (All) To The Moon and Back! If it wasn't for all of you I would probably drive my poor Husband Crazy (well I still drive him crazy) but with all of you he gets a break once in awhile, LOL!
Well back to the "LOVE" challenge! The cart I used is Sweethearts and I used my trusty Packing Tape Technique for my LOVE-ly Couple. The moon and star is from George Basic Shapes and the scalloped ovals are from Storybook. Now my stamped image "I Love You To The Moon and Back" is from Whimsical Designs. Of course had to add some bling and the Moon and Star has stickles on them for more sparkle! Now the card I used is a recycled card, the red base is glittered flock and it's just the right pop of color I think, along with the touches of red bling! Added a sheer bow and that's it! I even finished the inside and forgot to take a picture of it, lol! (Boy I better get my act together, right!)
Now here's another view and you can see the sparkle a bit better.

Now I sure hope you join us over at Stuck On U Sketches Die Cut Challenge this week for the "LOVE" challenge. You have two weeks to enter and you can use ANY die cut machine and it has to be a NEW creation (not just for SOUS, I know there's Lots of challenges out there, but please mention us, we'd Love to have New Participants!) So what are you waiting for, it's Friday, get in your Craft Space and get Creating! I'll be looking for you! Have a Great Weekend!

Times Flies with Whimsical Wednesdays Designs

Hi everyone and today's the Big Day over at Whimsical Designs! It's my first post with the Gals on the Design Team over at Whimsical Wednesdays Designs! How Exciting for my first post! The challenge is #43 "Time Flies" and the theme is to use "Wings" or a "Clock" (or you could use both I guess, lol) Well as you can see I used "Wings"! I used the Rock Princess Cartridge for my card today and cut my Heart with Wings @ 4" and if you seen Mondays BBTB2 challenge post you can see I used the same paper stack by The Paper Studio: Uptown Flair w/glitter! I'm really lovin this stack so don't be surprised if you see it again in the near future, LOL! Now the pink Flocked paper is from some recycled cards I had and I can say it highlighted the stamped images from Stephanie's Whimsical Designs Stamps PERFECTLY! I thought it may soak into the flock but it almost gave it a De-bossed look to it (if you could see it) but trust me, it worked great, very crisp and clean! I curved the "Fluttering By To Say Hi" stamp to put in the curve of the heart and then added the "Long Time No See" stamp on the banner with a bit of bling (you know me, gotta have some bling, lol!) I also added a little blingy crown, some stickles to the halo, a touch of ribbon and popped it for some added depth and dimension. That's it pretty simple for me but I really love it! I think the colors are just so bright, cheery and sparkly!
Now I sure hope you join in the #43 Time Flies Challenge with us over at Whimsical Wednesdays Designs. We have a challenge each week but each challenge is open for two weeks and all the rules are on the Whimsical Designs Blog and Please make sure to check out all the amazing projects that the Design Team did, it's the New Gals (including me, giggle) Debut along with the returning Gals so make sure to stop by and leave them some Love too, I'm sure they would love it! I'm sure this is going to be a must do challenge spot each week for you, hope to see you all THERE!

Be Unique With BBTB2!

Hi everyone and another Monday means another challenge over at Bitten By The Bug 2 and today the Lovely and Multi-talented Carole has picked the Garden Boots from the Nate's ABC's cartridge. Well I Love this cartridge and I have to say I have some really fun Garden boots of my own that I love and wear them all the time while I'm in the garden! (Actually here are my Favorite pair, I had to sneak them in!) Cute Huh, LOL!
Well back to my project, I cut my Boots at 4" and I used the Uptown Flair w/Glitter from The Paper Studio paper stack that I just got a couple of weeks ago and was dying to use. Love all the fun colors and the flocked paper is actually from some recycled cards that I had and the colors were perfect and the stamped images stamped perfect on the flock, also the Stamp is from Whimsical Designs. The circles are from punches and of course had to add some bling and a couple of Resin Roses from Recollections.
Did a bit of doodling with a White Gelly Roll Pen and the tiny bling is actually from a nail distributor and I bought them on ebay.
Here's a close up of the Whimsical Designs stamped image and I also used some Quick Quotes Midnight Confessions Chalk Ink on the whole card for some added depth and dimension along with the popped images.
Well I sure hope you join us over at BBTB2 for the Garden Boots challenge from Nate's ABC's and remember if you don't have Nate's you can use any cart with boots on it just remember it has to be a new creation and please add a link back to BBTB2 (some of your followers may want to join in and we'd Love to have them). Hope to see you there and have a great Monday!

You've Got Mail!

Hi Everyone and Happy Friday! Today is Stuck On U Sketches Die Cut Challenge reveal day and the challenge is "You've Got Mail"! Now I have a little story for you today (not long but I want to share, lol) Well you know those cute little mailboxes that alot of gals are decorating. Well I seen them at Target and had a few in my cart and at the last minute I put them back, I have soooooo many things that I buy with the good intention of making something with them and then they just sit so I thought these little mailboxes would be another one of those things. Well as you can see they sure would have come in handy for this challenge, lol! And since I didn't have any I had to make one of my own and I have to say I really like how my mailbox came out!
Well I used the Create A Critter cartridge and cut @ 6". Now I wanted it to open and had to do some freehand cutting and needed some hinges to make the door open and found them on the Cricut Sampler Cartridge (they were cut @1"). (The paper is My Minds Eye too by the way).
Pretty neat huh, how it opens! Now I added some pop strips to give it some dimension, and to be able to put my "Mail" into it. I could even add a gift card or some cash also. And the flag actually works! I used a brad to make it go up and down! And the stamp is one from Whimsical Designs called "With Love".
Now here's a view of the open mailbox and the little card ("mail") that I made. It's from the Cricut Sampler cart also and cut @ 4 1/2". And the little heart is a Martha Stewart punch.
And here's a closed version with the little "Love" note.
And last but not least, you know I had to add a handmade flower! Well at least a couple of flowers. The larger rolled flower is from the Flower Shoppe cart cut @ 3" and the smaller flowers are punches from EK Success that I used my stylus to make them dimensional and give them some curve, the leaves are a punch from Emaginations, and of course had to add some bling centers.

Now I sure hope you join us over at the SOUS blog for the "You've Got Mail" die cut challenge. The challenge is open for two weeks, it hast o be a new creation, you can use ANY Die cut machine and please add a link back to the Stuck On U Sketches blog (others may want to play along). Hope to see you there and have a great weekend. Hope you get to do some crafting and wonder what the weather will be this weekend, they say we are expecting snow sooooooo, it may be cold and perfect for crafting!  Have a good one!
