I Do................BBTB2 Blog Hop!

Happy Monday Everyone and who's ready for a Blog Hop?!!! It's been awhile since we had a Hop over at Bitten By The Bug 2 and we are having one today, Woo Hoo! Well it is the Wonderful, Multi-talented Carole's turn to pick the challenge and she chose the Birthday Cake from the Celebration's cartridge (or any cart with a cake on it) and since I didn't have that cart I used the Sweethearts cartridge for my Cake. I have a Wedding to go to next month, My neighbors Son is getting Married and since I will need a Wedding card what a perfect time to get it done! Now if you came here from my Lovely Design Sister Julie's blog you are in the right place but if you ever get lost you can always start at the BBTB2 blog, it will have the whole lineup.
Well since the Wedding is coming up and I'll need a card what perfect timing, and I won't have to wait till the last minute (like I seem to do alot lately)! Well I used the Sweethearts cartridge (I love this cart, along with Tie the knot) I also used Design Studio and made a welded shape card. I used the cake on page 64 and cut it at 8" so yes I needed to use my 12" x 24" cricut mat. It's the fist time using it and boy I had alot of neat ideas for it's use in the future. Anyway it was a pretty simple card, I used the "I Do" (pg 60) cut at 1". I made my own circle rolled flowers and also added the recollections pre-made flowers, a touch of bling and another blingy swirl and a touch of silver stickles. All the paper was Martha Stewart and I had blast doing this (partially because it went so fast, lol). Well I Always have fun when I'm crafting but there's always something that interrupts me and I have to stop, you know cleaning, cooking, going to work, ect. ect............ Boy no fun at all! LOL!!! And you might notice I don't have Laundry on that list, I actually Like to do laundry, I don't know why but I do, I could do it everyday, lol!
Well enough about laundry, let's get back to the Hop! Now all you need to do to be eligible for my blog candy is 1. Be a follower! (absolute MUST, I will check, lol!) 2. Leave a comment, any comment, about laundry, crafting, Cricut, weddings, you get it, Anything! and 3. Join our challenge! (Ha got ya, you don't have to enter the challenge to be eligible for my candy, giggle) but I would love it if you would think about it and join in, you could get an extra B-day or Wedding card done ahead of time and have a shot at our Cute Pick Of The Week (POW) Blinkie! You have 2 weeks to enter the challenge and it is Super Fun!
Now your next stop on the Hop is the Very Talented Susan, she always has something amazing created and remember if you ever get lost or started here first then hop on over to the BBTB2 blog and start the hop from here! I'll pick a winner on Saturday June 4th. you have a week to contact me or we start all over, lol!
Well have a Great week and Take Care!

Forever Young in Shades! BBTB2 Monday Challenge!

Hello my Lovely Followers of all things Cricut (and now Quick Quotes too!) Welcome to Monday and another Bitten By The Bug 2 weekly challenge and this week is our Fearless Leader Heather's turn to pick the challenge and she picked the Sunglasses from the Forever Young Cartridge. This is a Fun Fun Fun cart and has alot of great images on it and if you all remember, this is the cart I used for my layout for the Cricut DVD series that I won to be featured in! Well anyway I love these old fashioned glasses and I wish I could have found a great picture of my Mom because I remember when I was a kid that she had a pair and I know I have pictures of her with them on. Well since I couldn't find the pics I decided to make a card, well I actually made two cards, lol, I wanted to do bright colors and add the bling because I wanted this to be FUN! And they are Sunglasses soooooooo..........................................
I also made the lens look like glass by adding a glass finish to make it shiny! Pretty cool huh!? I like the look, what do you think???
Well all in all these are some pretty simple cards, I welded them in Design Studio, Embossed them with Dotted Swiss Cuttlebug folder, inked them with Quick Quotes Chalk Ink (love this stuff, lol) popped them, added the bling with my I-Rock, did some doodling and Done! I wanted to do more but I couldn't think of what else I could add so I just "let it be" LOL! You know how hard that was, sometimes I just have to say No and stop while I'm ahead, but it's oh so hard, lol!
Well I sure hope you join us this week over at BBTB2 and check out what all the Amazing Gals on the Design Team created and remember if you don't have the Forever Young cart you can use ANY cart with Sunglasses on them. Link up with Mr. Linky and you could win our cute Pick of The Week (POW) Blinkie to display on your Blog, along with Bragging rights of course! Don't forget to leave me a comment, I love to see your comments and I also have to say Thank You to the gals who have given me some wonderful awards and I haven't forgot about them and please don't think I'm not grateful, I am, I have been really busy at work and even tho that's not an excuse I will acknowledge them this week, it has slowed down and I'll be able to breath again, lol! Have a great week and see you all real soon!

Quick Quotes Garden Journal!

Welcome to another Quick Quotes post using the Club Q Kit! I'm Lovin this kit!!! So Many possibilities and I STILL have lots of papers and goodies left to do MORE, can you believe it! So worth it!

Well it was my Neighbors Birthday Monday and she is a Dear Friend and has helped me so much with my Garden since we moved out here. See I'm originally from California and even tho I love to garden it's different weather here in Kentucky than Calif. (and her Wonderful Hubby has a tractor and turns my garden every year for me, makes it SO MUCH easier then using a rototiller, lol)  Well I noticed she had a little old notebook that she's had forever and it has seen better days (even tho it has a wealth of info in there and I'm sure she won't get rid of it, lol) I thought it was time for a new one! And I love these colors, so bight and cheery, what better way to use them then for a Garden Journal!
I even added some pockets on the inside for seed packets so she can jot down pertinent info as she plants (and she does, I've seen that old journal lol) Great folded flowers from the Club Q Kit with added leaf punch from EK Success and some of my ribbon from my stash. I've even made a Cute flower pen that I'm sure none of the guys will touch so she'll always be able to find it, LOL!!!
Here is the card I made using the pinwheel flower, I added a Martha Stewart leaf punch for the stamens on the flower (even tho the stamens would be where the pearl brad is in real flowers I still like the concept, lol) added a bit of Ric Rac and added the stamp from Scrappy Moms stamps and a touch of Bling.
Here is a close up of the vintage image from Magic Moonlight Studio. They have Great free images you can use in your art. Added the folded flower and I made the tissue paper flower along with the rolled flower (made with extra paper from the Club Q Kit) and added the EK Success leaf punch. The binding is punched with a Martha Stewart punch (one of my FAVS) and of course some bling! Here's a close up of the Flower Pen I made, the center is a metal button I had and was perfect to fit in the end of the pen opening which I glued on with Beacon 3 in 1 Glue.
The Garden Journal tag is computer generated on my printer and the charms and beads I added from my stash. Added a doily and of course some Bling. Ribbon is from the Club Q kit also. (See lots of extra goodies!)
Here is a close up of the card, pretty simple and I'm lovin these pinwheel flowers. Card Base is from the Club Q Kit (see more stuff, lol) and the stamp is from Scrappy Moms Stamps, a touch of bling and everything is inked with the Powder Puffs Chalk Ink in Amaretto. I LOVE these inks, so yummy and they dry super "Quick", lol get it, Quick Quotes, dries Quick, (oh I'm so corny, lol) but it does dry super Quick, so no more ink all over you hands!!!
Well she loved the Journal and now I need to make my Daughter one, Her Birthday is Monday but since she doesn't garden I think it will have to be a Thoughts Journal or maybe an idea journal or just for notes or......... well you get the picture, a Journal can be anything you want it to be, I have a few around because I always get ideas and have to write them down or I forget, lol, I think the the age thing setting in, lol!!!
Well have a great weekend and see you all Monday for the BBTB2 challenge. I'm off to finish up my project, hope to see you all there!

Quick Quotes has lots of great products and my layout is made with part of the Club Q kit. The majority (90 %) of the layout is from the kit. I also chalked everything with the QQ PowderPuff Chalking Inks. I have to tell you I am in Love with these inks! They go on sooooo smooth and dry instantly and are just Beautiful! And so many Fun Colors! I used the Amaretto ink to give it a distressed look.
I love the folded flower I added to the top of a couple of silk flowers which comes in your kit! The envelopes are included also and there are a couple of different sizes, I just used two and made the little tag inserts with some of the extra paper. The little lollipop flowers were also from the kit and all I did was dampen them, crinkle them, ink them and added the brads instead of folding them, pretty cute huh!
Now the only things I added were the tissue paper flower I made by myself and added one of the brads to the center. Also the ric rac, the bling, and the paper doily are what I added. I also used a couple of Martha Stewart punches for the Punch Around the Page, butterflies, and fern leaves along with the leaves from the My World cartridge. But all the papers and goodies on the page came from the Club Q Kit. I also used the Beacon 3-in-1 Glue to glue the ribbons and ric rac on and I have to tell you I Love this Glue! I have had the hardest time finding a glue that will hold fabric and ribbon and I can tell you I found it! It also works great on attaching the flowers and the butterflies and it is absolutely Acid Free! You have to try it! Amazing!
Well I sure hope you enjoyed my little Debut of my First of many fun projects for the Quick Quotes Blog! We Have Babies............Birdies That Is, LOL!!!

I just wanted to share with you all our addition to our little Country Family (LOL)! We have a bird house on the back porch and for the last two years we've had a Bluebird family take residense in it and we also had the pleasure of a Starling take up residense in our.......................

Wait for it....................................

BBQ!!!

We kept taking the nest out and by the next day it would be back and when we had all that rain the last time I guess she took advantage and laid her eggs since I didn't go out in the rain to check, LOL! Well she laid six eggs and of course I couldn't remove the nest once I seen the eggs. Well Saturday when I checked on them this is what I found............................................
Then the next day the rest of the eggs hatched so now we have six little birdies in our BBQ! I guess we won't be BBQing for awhile. It's a good thing we have great neighbors and usually BBQ with them so at least we have access to a BBQ, LOL!
Now we also have the Baby Bluebirds that hatched also over the weekend also. They are in a birdhouse on the deck and I think there are five of them, I couldn't get a really good picture of the birdies so I'll try to get better pics another time.

Well I just thought you would all get a kick out of our new extended family, I'll keep you posted on their progress as they grow. It has been raining for the last two days so I sure hope they are all okay, I feel like a worried Mama, LOL!

Apples, Teacher's and a challenge at BBTB2!

Good Monday Morning everyone, hope your having a wonderful Monday. We had rain off and on all weekend and should have rain all week off and on here also so I don't know if I'll ever get my garden in! My potatoes are growing but that's all I have in the ground so far (sigh)!

Well as you all know Monday's bring the new challenge over at Bitten By The Bug 2 and this week it is Heather's week to pick the challenge and she picked the Apple Core from the Preserves cartridge. I don't have that cart but there are alot of carts with apples and it was a perfect opportunity to get some things done for McCade's teacher's. These are the cards I made for Teacher's appreciation week. He has two Teacher's so I have to do two of everything. I used the My World cartridge and for the #1 Teacher that is from the Wild Card cart, it doesn't have a shadow feature so I cut another phrase and set if off a bit to give it some depth and have it look like a shadow.
I handmade the flowers, added some dew drops and faux stitching and inking. I also added a sheer red ribbon on both. I sure hope the teacher's like them. I'm working on something else also for the actual gift so when I finish it I'll post later on in the week.
The paper is from the DCWV stack called "The Grade School Stack". Very Cute papers and some have glitter on them and perfect for school related layouts, cards and mini books.
Well I sure hope you join us over at BBTB2 in the challenge. If you don't have the Preserves Cartridge, you can use any Cart with an Apple on it (there are plenty, lol) You may win our cute POW (pick of the week) Blinkie to add to your blog, along with bragging rights of course, lol! Hope to see you there! I will also have some Exciting news to share with you soon, hopefully this week but I'm pretty excited about it so stay tuned and I'll chat with you later in the week with the rest of the teacher's gifts and some Exciting news!
