I Do................BBTB2 Blog Hop!

Happy Monday Everyone and who's ready for a Blog Hop?!!! It's been awhile since we had a Hop over at Bitten By The Bug 2 and we are having one today, Woo Hoo! Well it is the Wonderful, Multi-talented Carole's turn to pick the challenge and she chose the Birthday Cake from the Celebration's cartridge (or any cart with a cake on it) and since I didn't have that cart I used the Sweethearts cartridge for my Cake. I have a Wedding to go to next month, My neighbors Son is getting Married and since I will need a Wedding card what a perfect time to get it done! Now if you came here from my Lovely Design Sister Julie's blog you are in the right place but if you ever get lost you can always start at the BBTB2 blog, it will have the whole lineup. 

Well since the Wedding is coming up and I'll need a card what perfect timing, and I won't have to wait till the last minute (like I seem to do alot lately)! Well I used the Sweethearts cartridge (I love this cart, along with Tie the knot) I also used Design Studio and made a welded shape card. I used the cake on page 64 and cut it at 8" so yes I needed to use my 12" x 24" cricut mat. It's the fist time using it and boy I had alot of neat ideas for it's use in the future. Anyway it was a pretty simple card, I used the "I Do" (pg 60) cut at 1". I made my own circle rolled flowers and also added the recollections pre-made flowers, a touch of bling and another blingy swirl and a touch of silver stickles. All the paper was Martha Stewart and I had blast doing this (partially because it went so fast, lol). Well I Always have fun when I'm crafting but there's always something that interrupts me and I have to stop, you know cleaning, cooking, going to work, ect. ect............ Boy no fun at all! LOL!!! And you might notice I don't have Laundry on that list, I actually Like to do laundry, I don't know why but I do, I could do it everyday, lol!

Well enough about laundry, let's get back to the Hop! Now all you need to do to be eligible for my blog candy is 1. Be a follower! (absolute MUST, I will check, lol!) 2. Love Is In The Air and It's Blog Hop Time Over At BBTB2!

Hi Everyone, I'm back, lol! No Really, I'm Back, I've finally got my Mojo back! I never really understood when people said that but now I completely understand, LOL!

Well it's Monday and you all know that Monday's are new challenge day at Bitten By The Bug 2 and it's also the end of the month and that also means Blog Hop Time, Woo Hoo! Now if you hopped here from my Wonderful Design Team Sister Sandi your on the right track. And if you hopped here all on your own you can start right HERE. Now this weeks challenge is hosted by one of the other Lovely and talented Design Team Sister Maria. She picked the Love Struck cartridge and we were to use more than one cut from that cartridge and make a scrapbook layout or a card about someone or something you LOVE. Now I don't have that cartridge so I used Sweethearts and Sentimentals and I want to tell you, I just LOVE the way this layout turned out! And like I said before, I'm Back!

I used some glitter paper for the heart locket and the key is actually a Christmas ornament from Wal-Mart I got after Xmas on sale. When I seen them I thought, Key to my Heart right off the bat and bought quite a few in different colors and I will be making a few more cards for Valentines day with them. The chipboard glittered word "Heart" is from K&Company and I've had them for quite awhile, lol! I love the color combination too, kind of Vintage Retro, don't you think!?

Now the flowers are crepe paper and I made them myself. I've made ribbon roses before (years ago, lol) and remembered how to make them and just used the crepe paper which is real popular right now. I will try and add the tutorial I did on them later in the week, they are very easy and alot of fun.

I also added a little glittered frame for a little journal spot and another crepe paper flower, now all I need to do is find the perfect picture to add to this, maybe I'll get a picture of Ken and I and add it to it! Wow that would be a miracle in itself, lol!

I also have some fun Blog Candy for you all! A Cricut Cartridge! One of my favs and with summer coming it should come in handy! Bless This Nest at BBTB2!

Hi Everyone and hope your having a Great Memorial Day! McCade went to sing today at the Elk Spring Cemetery for Memorial Day to Honor our fallen Soldiers and it is always such a surreal feeling that I get when he does these things because it really puts life into perspective as to what our "Freedom" really means and at what cost to some of these amazing soldiers that gave their lives for our Freedom. And having had a

Father who was in the Navy and a Husband that was in the Marines, I feel very blessed that I had the opportunity to spend the mourning honoring them.

Well if you've arrived here from the BBTB2 blog hop, Welcome! This weeks challenge was to use the Sweethearts Cartridge and use the "Bless this Nest" phrase and I decided to do another Layout. I had so much fun last week with the layout that I wanted to do another and I wanted to use the darling little birdies.  This is what I came up with. (Minus the pics.) We built our own little house, with the knowledge and help from my Brother and our Dear Nieghbors (and it's still a work in process LOL) Pictures will grace these pages as soon as I find them LOL! Most all the cuts were from the Sweethearts cart and also used Straight from the Nest for the clothes line, birds nest, grass and flowers. Now.....................
