Blog Hop Time! BBTB2 Weekly Challenge!

Hello to all my lovely followers this wonderful Monday morning! Hope all is well in your little part of the world! It's been raining here in KY and I'll take that over the snow and ice, (remember I don't like to drive in it, lol)! Well it is the end of the month and you all know what that means..........................................
BLOG HOP TIME! Yea!
Well our challenge this week is to use the Birdcage from Straight From The Nest but if you don't have that cartridge there are ALOT of Birdcages on many of the carts or you can use a birdhouse from the many birdhouses on many of the carts also.

Now if you came from the wonderfully talented Penny's blog you are in the right place. Now remember if you ever get lost you can start at the beginning at the BBTB2 blog!
Well I used the Straight from the Nest cartridge and made a layout. I used a paper stack from My Mind's Eye called "Home" that I almost forgot that I had (it's very pretty and all the papers have "sparkle" on them) and the card stock is from DCWV and Core'dinations. I also used a Martha Stewart punch and had to add a little bit of Bling and Stickles (which you can't see very well)! Don't you just Love my little birds nest prop I added (it is one I found in the yard that had fallen out of one of the trees, it has horse hair swirled around on the inside to make it nice and soft, lol)!
Now your next stop on the Hop is to the Amazing Heather's blog. Love her layouts, she always adds the cutest pictures of her kiddos on her layouts. I always take so many pictures but fail to get them developed (shame on me!) I think I'm going to look into getting some photo paper and attempt to print them at home but they just never seem to look as good as from the photo developers, and I still think it's cheaper getting them done at WM then doing it at home, JMO!

Well I hope you join us with the HOP. If you don't have the Straight from the Nest cart use Any Birdcage or Birdhouse and you could win our Cute Blinkie to display on your blog! I have a bit of Blog Candy you could win, these are some of my handmade crepe paper flowers (I am still going to do a tutorial but I cant's find my video camera bracket, I've been cleaning and organizing and I can't remember where I put it!, LOL) I also have some other goodies I'll add to the stash (as I said, I've been cleaning, lol) All you need to do to win my Candy is to leave a comment on this post and Please Make Sure your a FOLLOWER! I'll announce my winner on Sat. the 5th you have a week to claim your prize or I'll draw another winner.
Have Fun and Good Luck!
Have a Great Week!

Bitten By The Bug 2 Monday Challenge!

Good Morning everyone and what a lovely Monday! Monday's always bring our weekly challenges over at BBTB2 and this week the Sensational Shelly picked the Boy Fishing from the A Child's Year cartridge. Now remember if you don't have A Child's Year cart you can use any cart with a fishing theme.
Well I did a one page layout and I actually added a picture of McCade on here! Shocker, I know, but I'm going to try and add pictures on more of my layouts, lol! Well I used DCWV papers, and inked all the edges with Distress Ink (Vintage Photo) and added some faux stitching. Did some embossing with my cuttlebug folders. I used the EK Success punch for the scallop w/circles punch and added some ribbon from Michael's. The boy fishing is cut at 7" and I added the ball cap onto him, (cut at 1 3/8", it is an extra on the cart, along with the grass tuffs which I altered a bit.) The little hanging fishes are cut at 3" and embossed and tied together for the "catch of the day".
I also added a hidden journaling spot under the Lazy Days saying which is from the Just Because Cartridge. I took two ovals and welded them together (cut at 4 3/8")  for my journaling and popped/layered the saying, Lazy Days, a couple of times (cut at 7"). And then I HAD to add a tiny bit of "Bling", LOL!
Hope you like it and make sure you enter the challenge over at BBTB2, you just might win our winners blinkie to add to your blog, along with bragging rights, of course! Thanks for your wonderful comments, you know I love all the nice things you all say and I really do appreciate all your kind words, Thanks to all of you. I hope you have a wonderful week!

BBTB2 Challenge and I'm Hosting This Week!

Hi everyone and Happy Monday! So what did you all think of that awesome Blog Hop last week!? Thank you all for all the wonderful comments you left me, I love reading all of them. Well you all know that today is Bitten By The Bug 2 challenge day and I am the Host for the week. I think I picked a Fun Challenge this week for you all. I chose to use one of the Lite cartridges. It's the Bloom cartridge and I wanted to use the Fence/Gate for my cut this week. Now don't get upset if you don't have Bloom, there are alot of carts with a fence/gate on them. So please join us over at BBTB2 and you could win our cute littleWinners Blog Blinkie to add to your blog, (along with bragging rights) lol!
Well I used some older papers and I really don't know where I got them from or who makes them, they are older, from at least 5 years ago! I used the Fence/Gate image and then welded the additional fence piece onto either side of the fence, one side is flipped and welded also. I did alot of embossing on most of the images but I just couldn't get really good pictures for some reason. I think it was just the really light colored papers (it couldn't be my picture taking skills now, could it, LOL) I also used my white jelly roll pen for some accent stitching and there's some bling on there also, I used my IRock that I won over at Joanna's blog, boy I sure do love it, you know I love the bling, lol!
More embossing and jelly roll accents and bling, (don't you just Love that adorable little Worm with the little banner, lol) and how about that little birdcage! The little worm, butterflies and birds are from the Lovely Floral cartridge, also one of the Lites.
And I also made a card with some of the test cuts I did. The birdcage is the negative pieces (usually the pieces you throw away) from the birdhouse cut and I used my favorite packing tape trick and added gold glitter! Don't you just Love it, I sure do, LOL! All made with leftovers! Added some bling and it's a great card if I do have to say so myself, lol! A great "just because" card to have!

Well thanks for stopping by, you know, I really do appreciate all of my friends and followers and love all the wonderful comments you all leave. And I didn't forget about the crepe paper flower tutorial, I just got a video camera and I need to figure out how to use it, (boy there really needs to be about 4-5 extra hours in a day, lol) it would be better then all those pictures I would need to do so I'll work on it this week. If anyone has any pointers about filming I sure would appreciate the heads up, lol! I've never did one before so wish me luck!
((Hugs)) and Take Care, See you at the challenge!
