I know it's not Mother's Day yet but I couldn't wait to post this card. I think it turned out really cute and I think my Mother In Law is going to Love it too! She probably won't see it on here since she doesn't get on the computer that often. She likes sunflowers and last year McCade grew some enormous ones in the garden and we saved the seeds and he gave a bunch to his Grandma last year at Thanksgiving for her to plant this year. I love making these little flowerpot cards and got the directions originally from Lorraine last year and there is also numerous directions on YouTube (Here's one). I made a slightly bigger one tho because Ken said the original one was a little "puney" so I cut it 4 1/2" x 11 1/2" (score at 2 1/2" & 7") and the insert pieces (the part you add the flowers to and also write on) at 2 3/4" x 5 3/4 & 2 1/2" x 5 1/2" I used Walk in my Garden for the sunflowers and leaves and then embossed them with the cuttlebug. The decorative punch is a Martha Stewart punch named Garden Trellis. Used the computer for "Happy Mother's Day" and cut it with my nesties and McCade found the little bee in some of my craft supplies along with the bling and HAD to use it! LOL And of course I had to make one of my signature bookmarks. Well as always thanks for looking and you really should try one of these for yourself, they are alot of fun and fairly easy and you can use ANY kind of flowers from ones cut from the Cricut's numerous Cartridges to Primas or even silk flower's.
