The Crowning Touch Over at BBTB2 Challenge!

Hey all, Happy Monday! I all hope you had a Blessed and Lovely Easter with your Family. We had a very Quite and relaxing day. I have almost got caught up on my computer duties, lol! I sure did miss all of you last week. It was just a crazy week at work and this week will be just as crazy (if not a bit crazier) but I'll get through it, LOL!
Well this week's challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2 comes from the Wonderfully Talented Julie! She picked either of the Crowns on the Home Decor Solutions cartridge. Now remember, if you don't have that cartridge you can use any cart with a crown on it! I also used the Lovely Floral Lite cartridge (the one's from Wal-Mart) with Home Decor. I always wanted to use the Scrap Queen cut on that cart and what a perfect opportunity this was! I even got to add a crown for the Queen! And  what else does a crown need but some Bling, lol!
I also used a pre-made tag card from K & Co, the size is 5" x 7", and also an older stack from K & Co. called Peabody. I used a Martha Stewart punch and some ribbon I purchased after Xmas.
Well I had all these scraps and thought I would make a tag to go with the card and I have to say it turned out kinda Cute, whatcha think! The tag is a pre-made manila mailing tag, 2 1/2" x 5" also, but I handmade the flowers and the leaves and since I had made two crowns (I wasn't sure which one would look better, giggle) so what better place to add the extra Crown too, Right! The imagine sticker is just that, a sticker and it's popped like the crown so it gives it some extra dimension. The only difference is that the crown on the card has rhinestones and the crown on the tag has some gold brad type gems. Both are heat set so I used my I-Rock for both. Also everything is inked with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Also the twine is not Baker's twine (but it kind of looks like it) it's a bit thicker then baker's twine and I got it at Michael's. It's called Sugar 'n Cream Twist and I got it in the yarn section. I've also seen it at Jo Ann's. Don't get me wrong, I love the Baker's twine but I haven't had a chance to get me any YET! It's on my LONG list of wants, lol! I also added a bit of ink to the twine to give a distressed look (it was a bit too "clean" looking!)
Well I sure hope you will be able to join us at BBTB2 this week in the challenge and just remember if you don't have the Home Decor cart, any cart with a Crown will work! Link up to Mr. Linky and you could win our Pick of The Week (POW) Blinkie to add to your blog, along with bragging rights of course, lol!

Well I hope you have a wonderful Week, hope to see you at the challenge!

Peek~A~Boo Easter Egg and the Weekly Challenge with BBTB2!

Peek~A~Boo and Happy Monday Everyone! I see that I have a few new followers and that just makes my day! Welcome to all my new followers and I sure hope I can inspire you. I know that all the wonderful comments that you all leave inspire me each and every week. Thanks You all of you, you all mean the world to me and thanks for the lovely comments!

Now Monday's always bring a Challenge over at Bitten By The Bug 2 and today is the Sweet Krista's week to pick our challenge and she chose to use Any of the Eggs from the Easter Solutions Cartridge. Also if you don't own that cartridge you can use ANY Egg on any cartridge and since I didn't have the Easter Cart I used Doodlecharms. I also used Paper Lace for the flower Peek A Boo cut out. I wanted to do something similar to the Sugar Eggs with the little sugar scenes inside. I had one for the longest time when I was a kid and I loved it so much and had it for quite awhile...................
till the Ants got ahold of it, LOL!
Well there is alot of dimension on this Egg, actually it is a egg shaped card I welded in Design Studio and then added all the layers. Once I started I had so many more ideas and that's where the flower idea came into my mind. I wasn't going to do this weeks challenge, it's been a busy week again and I waited till the last day again so this came together pretty quick and I cheated and used some Easter stickers (shame on me, lol) that I had bought last year on clearance. I made the Rossette and added the doily and added them to the center of the cut out with some of the stickers. Added some dew drops, some white faux stitching and a pink bow. All the paper is Martha Stewart papers and popped everything.
Here's some more pictures of all the dimension...................
And more dimension and layers.

Now I sure hope you join us this week over at BBTB2 and remember if you don't have the Easter Cartridge you can use any cartridge with an Egg on it. You may win our Pick Of The Week (POW) Blinkie, along with bragging rights, to add to your blog. Hope to see you at the challenge and Thanks Again to all of you and all the Sweet comments, keep them coming, they really make my day, lol!

((Hugs)) Take Care and Have a Wonderful Week!

Mother's Day Challenge with BBTB2!

Hello Everyone, Happy Monday to You All! Today's Challenge day over at Bitten By The Bug 2 again and this week is the Lovely Lori's week to pick and she chose the Mother's Day 2010 cartridge and we were to use ANY of the sayings. Now as you all can see I don't have that cartridge so I used Wrap It Up instead and used the Happy Mother's Day saying AND the Card Feature. The paper is a litely printed paper from Martha Stewart and you really can't see the print but it really is pretty. I also used one of my favorite techniques using packing tape and glitter! You add the tape to the back of your cutout design, with the sticky side up for the glitter to stick to, HERE is the tutorial if you didn't see it and would like to try it. I also added some Bling (gotta love it) and a ribbon, actually I waited till the last minute and didn't get the layout I wanted to get done but I like how this card turned out. It will be for my Mother In Law for Mother's Day. My Dear Mom has since passed so I'll just have to Chat with her on Mother's Day =)
I also finished the inside of my card using one of the cutout leftover pieces from one of the flowers and attached them to a strip of paper and added a bow, I'm glad I finished the inside and love how it turned out.
Well I sure hope you all join us this week and remember if you don't have the Mother's Day 2010 cartridge you can use any cartridge with a Mother's Day Saying/Theme (Mom, Grandma, Mama, Mommy, I Love You, ect.) And just think, you'll have your Mother's Day card (if that's what you decide to do) done early, LOL!
Well Hope you all have a great week,
((Hugs)) and Take Care, Theresa

Blog Hop Time with BBTB2 featuring Disney!

Good Monday Morning everyone and welcome to the Bitten By The Bug 2 End of the Month Blog Hop! We woke up to SNOW this AM, can you believe it, lol! I haven't been minding the rain but I'm done with the snow (I don't like driving in it, hee hee) it's not alot but still SNOW, I sure hopes it doesn't freeze the peach blossoms that are already blooming on the trees here because of all the warm weather we had been having, very confusing Mother Nature for all of us, lol!
Now if you hopped over here from the Amazing Donna's blog you are in the correct order, but if you want to start at the beginning than start at the BBTB2 Blog. Yes it is the end of March in a couple of days already, can you believe it! This week my Lovely Design Team Sister Maria has picked the New Disney Cartridge as our challenge this week and since I don't have that cart we could also use a different cartridge as long as it is Disney so I used the "Happily Ever After" cartridge. This image was the main reason that I bought this cartridge, I fell in Love with the Cinderella's Carriage! I was originally going to do a layout with a Wedding Theme but when I seen all the pastel pink and blue I decided to do a couple of Baby layouts.
I also used the Nursery Rhyme and Home Accents cartridges for the Saying and for the Doily I used Serenade. I added some bling with my iRock and some bling sticker swirls and also a few dew drops, some Ric Rak, Tulle, and sheer ribbon, and added a couple of charms, one is a little Baby Buggie and the other a little metal Baby Foot charm. The embossing folders I used are Devine Swirls, Swiss Dots and Love Language. Everything is also popped for some added dimension.
I also added some accent dots with a Blue and Pink pen on the sayings.
One in Pink............................................
And one in Blue!

Well your next stop on the hop is over to the Wonderful Julie's Blog, I'm sure she'll have something Amazing to share with you and if you ever get lost just go back to the BBTB2 Blog and the line up will be there.
(A 8 x 8 Cosmo Cricket paper pad, chipboard mini, and some pom-pom ribbon)
Now I have a bit of Blog Candy up for grabs and all you need to do is Be A Follower and Leave a Comment on this post, that's it, super easy, I will announce the winner on Sat. April 2nd ! Now remember if you don't have the newest Disney cartridge, Any Disney Cartridge will work (and we know there are quite a few, lol) You may win our Cute Pick Of The Week (POW) Blinkie to add to your blog, with bragging rights, of course, lol! Hope you all have fun on the hop and have a Wonderful Week!

Two Sassy Dachshund-It's a BBTB2 Challenge!

Hey there all you SASSY Followers (giggle) How the heck are all of you!? It's Monday and another BBTB2 challenge. This week Melissa picked the Dachshund on the Paisley Cartridge and I thought it would be a perfect chance to try a technique that my fellow Design Team Sister Donna does all the time. I call her the Queen of Pop so make sure you check out her blog and I'm sure you'll agree.
Well first of all the size of the card is small for me, 3 1/2" x 4 1/2". I used Design Studio and welded the Dachshund and Sassy shadow's to a rectangle from George to make the card base. This was going to be just a test but I actually like the way it turned out so I ran with it, lol! I'm not sure where I got the paper, it's some older stuff I found in a box that I was going to give to the school and I actually like the combination. I did a little bit of inking and added some faux stitching and added some little ink dots. The little bit of bling is actually some shiny gold heat and bond brad type gems and I used my iRock to adhere them.
I also popped everything as you can see with the bottom picture. I will definitely be doing this again and I just have to say Thanks to Donna for being an inspiration to try something new. All of the Gals over at BBTB2 are So Very Talented and Inspiring and I learn something each week from all of them, I am truly blessed and honored to be on this Amazing Design Team and I have learned Soooooo Much from All of them! Hopefully I am inspiring to all of you that visit my blog, I really try to be and if there is anything you ever want to know about any of my projects please feel free to contact me and hopefully I can help. I just found my bracket to my video camera so hopefully I will be able to do some videos of some of the techniques I've done.
So please join us in the challenge this week and if you don't have the Paisley cartridge, you can use any cartridge that has a Dog on it. There are Plenty of adorable Doggies on many of the carts. You could even win our Cute little Pick Of The Week (POW) Blinkie, along with the bragging rights to go along with it of course, lol! So hope to see you over at the BBTB2 blog and link up to Mr. Linky and play along!

Have a great week, it was another great weekend here in Kentucky, hopefully it will stay that way, lol!

BBTB2 Challenge, I'm Getting Ready for Easter!

Hello everyone and welcome to another Monday Bitten By The Bug 2 challenge. This week Penny picked our weekly challenge and it is to use the Chick from the 2010 Easter Cartridge. Now remember that if you don't have that cart you can use Any Chick or Duck from any Cart. And as you can see I didn't have the Easter Cart so I used the Just Because Cartridge. When I got this cart I seen this little Duck and knew I was going to use it at some time because isn't he just the Cutest! And the Chick is Adorable too! And as you can see I couldn't make up my mind on the color or the image so I just made a few, lol! At least I have all my cards for the Grand kids done and ready to go!
I used the shadow feature for the card base and welded them together using Design Studio, and cut them at 10 1/2". It sounds Huge but it's actually only about 5 1/2" tall, so they are cute little cards. And they all went really fast and easy. It was the fastest I've did a project in ALONG time, LOL!
Everything is popped and layered and I also used my cuttlebug to emboss everything. I also went with simple embellishments which are just some bows and Gotta Love the Google Eyes, don't you think!? (Giggle)
So don't forget to see what the wonderful Design Team "Chicks" did with their little Chicks or Ducks, they are always amazing so don't forget to drop by the BBTB2 blog and enter the challenge! Link up with Mr. Linky and you could win the Great Pick Of The Week Blinkie to display on your blog, along with braggin rights of course!

Have a wonderful week and hopefully were going to see some spring time weather, it was a Beautiful weekend here in Kentucky and I think McCade and I are on the mend, boy that cold (or whatever it was) really knocked us on our bottoms, I was down for two days and one of them I don't even really remember, lol! I even think Binky caught a little cold (poor puppy)!

Walk In My Garden and Bloom......................

With another Bitten By The Bug 2 weekly challenge, LOL!!!!!!
Hello to all my lovely Followers and Welcome to another wonderful Monday morning and like I said above, another challenge! This week our challenge is to use the Ladybug from the Boys Will Boys Cartridge and since I don't have that Cartridge, Yet, lol, (it really is a Cute Cart.) I used the Ladybug from the Walk In My Garden Cart. It's a older cart and was one of the first ones I ever bought Y E A R S ago, lol! I just Love all the flowers and is still a go to cart for alot of things so if you don't own it and you find it for a good price you won't be disappointed, you should get it! (Sorry about the Enabling, giggle) Well if you don't own Boys will be Boys cart you can use any cart with a Ladybug on it, there are quite a few of them. I also used the Lite Cart Bloom, I Love that cart. (Remember the Fence challenge HERE) I used the Basket on it and "Made" a little basket with it. I cut it at 9" so it's kinda big. I added some rectangles to the side, from the George cartridge and welded them using Design Studio. I always see such cute little baskets made (even though I have Tags Bags Boxes and More) and have been wanting to try my hand at making my own and this is what I came up with, what do you think!?
I added the little Ladybug to the front as a little "Gift tag" for the little "Gift" you can add to the inside. I made a couple of little Notecards, with the little Ladybug "Card Cut button" on the Walk in my Garden cart. You could also add a little Mini scrapbook (that's what I wanted to do but didn't have enough time, I kept changing my mind on what I was going to do, lol!) That's what I get waiting till the last minute!
Well I hope you like it, maybe I'll finish the little Mini and post it again later, I think it will be one of  McCades Teachers gift's for the end of the year. Heck that will be here before we know it, can you believe it's already March!

Well I hope you join us for this weeks challenge, remember if you don't have the Boys Will Be Boys cart you can use any card with a Ladybug on it and you could win our Cute Pick of the Week Blinkie, along with bragging rights, to add to your blog! Hope to see you over at Bitten By The Bug 2 and have a Great Week!
