Heart Breaker over at the BBTB2 Monday challenge!

Hi everyone and Happy Labor Day folks!
Well over at Bitten By The Bug 2 the Design Team has been hard at work Laboring over some pretty amazing creations this week! Heather had us use the Drippy Heart on the Rock Princess cartridge as our Inspiration today and boy I can tell you I was sort of stumped on this one since I didn't have enough time to make me a layout I went with a card for this week!
This card has many layers to it and I designed it in Design Studio. When I seen the heart the first thing that came to my mind was Heart Breaker and since I've been using the Happy Haunting cart alot lately I knew there would be something on it I could also use and that's where the Beware came from. I added a small amount of embossing on the wings and a tiny bit of silver metallic rub on cream to highlight the wings. Also used a silver Jelly roll pen to add some doodling and one lonely red rhinestone in all it's glory on the center of attention, the Drippy Heart.
The card is small for me, lol, 4" x 4 1/2", I usually make a huge card then can't find an envelope for it even tho I can't ever send my cards straight thru the mail, they always have to be in a different type of envelope or small box, lol! I used some glitter paper for some extra glitz and I also used some of the Quick Quotes Julie Je T'aime Paper line, (these papers cut really nice in the Cricut) That's it for me this week, pretty simple huh!
Well I hope you join us and link up something NEWLY made for this challenge, you have two weeks to enter and you could win our Great Blinkie to add to your blog, along with bragging rights of course, lol! Now remember if you don't have the Rock Princess cart you can use any cart with a flying heart or a bat or even just a heart with wings, I just hope to see you over at BBTB2!

((Hugs)) and Take Care,
Theresa

Dino Crossing over at the BBTB2 challenge!

Well it's Monday and that means a new challenge over at BBTB2 and this week it's going to be all about the Dinosaur's. It's Reader's Choice and the original cart was Dinosaur Tracks and since I don't have that cart (and I think most of the gals on the Design Team didn't either, most used  Paper Doll Dress Up, so Heather changed it to Paper Doll Dress Up, LOL) But now if you have Dino Tracks Cart and want to enter the challenge go ahead and use Dino Tracks. There are also  Dino's on Create A Critter, B is for Boy and Birthday Cakes carts.
Well I didn't know what to do with this one but as always once I get going I just can't stop, LOL! I was originally going to make a card and it blossomed into another layout. I was having some problems with the colors and originally I wanted to do brighter colors but I just couldn't get the colors to go so it's a pretty monocramatic green color scheme with touchs of brown, LOL! And I did ALOT of chalking! It really gives alot of personality to those little Dino's, Hee Hee! I did alot of pen work (which doesn't show up good in the pics but click on a pic to see it better) and did some popping for some more dimension and the journaling spot is under the title where the Dino Crossing is (the font is from Hello Kitty Font by the way) and also, what do you think of.............
that Lava!!? Pretty cool huh!? Yep, had to get some sparkle on this layout somehow, LOL! So I added some red stickles for the icing on the cake, (or lava on a volcano) so to speak! LOL And also added some basic bundling twine for a bit more interest other then using ribbon, gives it a little more rugged feel don't you think? Well that's it for now, hope you will join us in the challenge over at BBTB2 I would love to see your take on this challenge. It's always easy for us to do the frilly cutesy challenges but this one, at least for me, really was a "challenge"! LOL have a great week, Take Care and Froggie ((Hugs)) Theresa.

Unhinged @ BBTB2!

It's Monday and that means the BBTB2 weekly challenge. This week we are using the Hinges from Fabulous Finds. Well I didn't have Fabulous Finds but I have Potpourri Basket and there was a hinge on it so....... (Mine actually work too, flip open the "Boo" and write your secret message on the inside!) Our sponsor this week is also Shelly's Images She has alot of really cute images and great prices so you should check her out.
I am usually not a Halloween Person (I love to decorate and have tons of decorations but haven't scrapped many Halloween Pics!) but for some reason I loved this Haunted House. Good and Spooky, don't you think! LOL. I also used Hello Kitty Font for the Boo! Martha Stewart punch around the Page Spider Web and then  the Spider's and Bats are a Cuttlebug Emboss and Die. I added some stickles (not sure I like the stickles, just the hour glass on the Black Widow, I should have used black glitter!) I also used my colored pencils since I still don't have any Copics yet, (One Day, LOL) And Love the googly eyes in the Boo!

Well please join us at BBTB2 and use any Digi and if you don't have Fabulous Finds or Potpourri Basket, just use some type of hinges, even real ones if you like, I think that would be cute! And also don't forget to stop by Shelly's Images. I am also entering this over at Frosted Designs, their challenge is to use border punches and I just love this punch, so Fun! Make sure you check them out! Have an amazing Monday and a even better week.
Take Care and Froggie ((Hugs)) To Everyone!

Whoo Loves You at the BBTB2 challenge this week!?

Hello everyone today is Monday and that means BBTB2 weekly challenge. And this week it is to use the cute little owl from the Cricut Storybook cartridge. I haven't had any crafting mojo the last couple of weeks, lots of ideas but getting them down on paper has been pretty difficult for me, Don't have a clue why but...........
I think I've just got sooooo many things on my mind lately, and we've been trying to get the add on rooms finished! It sure has been taking FOREVER to get them done. Now I may have said this before but if anyone in your family (Hubs, kids, Dad, Uncles, Aunts, distant relatives, LOL, you get the point, anyone!) that does Drywall make sure you tell them Thank You from me (even tho I did it myself, and NEVER again!) It is the awfullest job in the world, and soooooooo messy! I don't think I will ever get all the drywall dust out of the house EVER! Anyway, it is almost done and I think that is why I haven't been able to concentrate on anything else. LOL
Well back to the BBTB2 challenge, We were to use the Owl and I did another layout, well actually two layouts. A Pink and Blue one (duh, like you can't see that, LOL). Basically both the same, just a few different papers. And yes I made all the flowers too. That's what took the most time.
Well I used the Storybook Cartridge, Straight from the Nest and George Carts. The Owl is from Storybook and cut at 5" with the shadow and did two different versions. The Whoo Loves You and the scroll are from Straight from the Nest and cut at 2". Now there isn't a shadow cut of the scroll with the border cut but I welded two together to get the shadow. You could use Design Studio or  your Gypsy for that one. The flowers are from George cut at 1" and  2". The corner scrolls are from a Sizzlets die and the leaves and tiny flowers are a punch. I chalked everything again and of course added the bling. The paper is from some old DCWV stacks. I'm trying so hard to use some of the older things I've had for so long and put in boxes when we moved and haven't been able to get to and going thru the boxes now find things that I just had to have and never used. (Well I would have if I could have gotten to them, LOL) It's kinda like finding hidden treasure. LOL
Well that's it for the BBTB2 challenge for now. Hope you can play along and remember if you don't have the Storybook cartridge you can use ANY owl. There are ALOT of them on lots of the Cricut carts, there's even one of the new Lites that is ALL Owls. So have fun with it. Thanks for stopping by and please feel free to leave me a comment. I so appreciate all the wonderful comments you all leave me and taking time out of your busy days to drop me a line! Thanks Again and have a Wonderful Day!

Make A Wish....With BBTB2, Blog Hop AND..... A Little Surprise!

Okay guys I had some technical difficulty's today with my blog and I'm sorry if I messed anything up It was for almost an hour but it seems to be fixed now (Hopefully!) and no more problems. It seems a lot of people have been having problems with their blogs lately, does anyone know what's up!? Well back to the Hop!.................
Well it's the end of the month and all you fans of BBTB2 know what that means..........Blog Hop Time! Woo Hoo. I will get to that in a bit, but first I want to share with you the challenge for the week. Julia Moss has chosen the Genie Lamp On the Paper Doll Dress Up this week. Hope you can join us in the challenge. We are also having a giveaway over at BBTB2 of some iCopic markers! I sure wish I could have played along since I don't have any........Yet! I will probably get some in the near future but not sure when. They look like ALOT of fun, but that would mean the start of another addiction! LOL So make sure you stop by BBTB2 and play along with us and enter the iCopic giveaway. Now on to my Genie Lamp!....................
I was really excited to do this one, I love all the extras on both of the Paper Doll Carts. Well I got all my stuff out and then had a mental block to what I was going to do! I had originally wanted to do a layout and started but couldn't move ahead. So I put it away for a couple of days. Then it hit me! I wanted to use the Genie Lamp as a real Genie Lamp. One that the top would come off so that's what I did! I was going to make it a regular card but I just love to make the Easel Cards and I wanted this one to "stand on it's own" because it is Quite Grand! You can almost really pick it up and rub it and "Make A Wish" And your wish will come true. (Maybe you blog hoppers can make a wish to win some awesome blog candy from some of the gals in the blog hop, including mine below. LOL) Well of course, I used the Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge and also the Sweethearts Cartridge for the Flower. The colors are out of my norm but I've been really getting out of my norm lately (and I can tell you it's kinda fun) LOL! Everything is so rich and colorful and of course I had to add the bling and the smoke coming out of the spout is Martha Stewart Black Glitter and also used a Martha Stewart Punch, Garden Trellis. The awesome copper ribbon is some I got after X-mas on sale (isn't it great!) And the saying "Make A Wish" is a rub on. The real exciting thing about this card is that........................................
The top "Pops Off"! And there's a space to write a secret message or even add a gift card in there!

And as all of you know with an Easel card there is space to write a message or note under the image or even on the back. I'm not sure what I will do with this card yet, if it will be a "birthday" card or a "just because" card so I haven't added anything to the bottom for a saying yet. But I sure can tell you I LOVE THE COLORS! And of course I used my chalks again for some demension and popped the flowers to give them some demension. I may even enter this one into a couple of other challenges on the internet. There is one going on over at Frosted DesignThe Shabby Tea Room to use these colors so I will have to share this one since I love how it came out. LOL Well okay now for blog candy time...........
If you are here you probably hopped here from Susan's. Wow how can I follow up to Susan! LOL She is Amazing! I Love her Layouts, she's very inspiring! And Your next stop on th Hop will be Carole's. She is an Amazing creative Ladie also (but hey, all the Gals on the Design Team are Amazing! Hee Hee) and I'm sure she'll have something wonderful for you! And if you just happened to start at my Blog then Hop on over to BBTB2 to start the Hop from there so you don't miss anyone. Now my rules are pretty easy, you MUST be a follower and you MUST leave a comment (only one please!) And I am so sorry but no International shipping. I will pick my winner on July 3rd sometime. You'll have 1 week to respond or I will pick another winner, see isn't that easy! Well I want to wish everyone Good Luck and Thanks for stopping by, please feel free to stop by Anytime. Hope you'll join us over at BBTB2 for the challenge and the iCopic giveaway. Have a GREAT day and chat with you soon.

Once Upon A Princess-and another BBTB2 challenge.

Well this weeks challenge over at BBTB2 is from Joanna (aka Joeygirl86) to use the Rainbow from the Once Upon a Princess Cartridge. I just LOVE this cart so I was looking forward to doing this challenge and decided to do another layout. I'm really getting into doing layouts and have so many ideas for some of the carts to do little scenes with some of them. I have a few planned out in DS and working on some with my new Gypsy (yes I did finally get one and still learning it but do love the portability factor) I'm going to try and work on one this week so we'll see. Anyway back to the current challenge.......(See how easily I get off track, oooh something shiny! LOL)
The hardest part for me on doing layouts, cards, altered projects or anything is picking out the paper. I love to buy it and have lots of it (like all of us Hee Hee) but have the hardest time using it. I always buy the stacks and then I just can't bring myself to use it! So I've been trying to use some of the older stacks that I have had forever. I can always pick out the card stock but the patterned paper just throws me for a loop. And the thinner paper just doesn't cut as well on my Cricut (I always forget to adjust all the settings, paper rips, and I get frustrated, then I forget to put the settings back, paper doesn't cut, and I get frustrated, what's a girl to do LOL) Well on to the "plan" of this layout......................
Well the inspiration of the layout was, of  course, the rainbow which was cut  at 4" w/shadow and I have to give thanks to Joanna for the idea of the white shadow, and I just love it! She did the Bless this Nest challenge a while back and used a white shadow and I just loved it and thought this would be perfect with the  pastel colors, so everything has a white shadow. The Butterfly and the Bird are both cut at 3", Castle is 6", Precious is 3", Damsel is 2" and the photo mats are 6" x 4". I also used a Martha Stewart punch around the page and Sizzix sizzlits corner punch. Added a bit of wire on the butterflies for their antennas and some punch flowers with a touch of bling and some sparkly ribbon. I also used my chalks to give everything some dimension along with popping almost everything and can't forget the embossing and a little pen work. Well that's about it for the Rainbow challenge this week at BBTB2 hope you can join us and remember if you don't have Once Upon A Princess you can use any cart that has a rainbow or make your own! Hope to see
you there and please if you like what you see, please leave a comment, it really does inspire me and I thank you for taking the time to show me the LOVE! Have a wonderful day!

Sweet and Sassy-BBTB2 challenge for the week! Blog Candy Winner too!...........

Blog Candy winner...please scroll down..................Woo Hoo!
What an Adorable day it is here at home. This is the first offical full week McCade is home for the summer and of course he slept in, but not me, I try but I just can't seem to do it! Anyway......................
Another fun challenge for the week over at BBTB2 is to use the Doodlecharms Sun along with our sponsored Digi image from Sweet 'n Sassy and I chose the Adorable little mouse chillin under a pretty little daisy catching up on some reading! I love to read and go through spurts where that's all I seem to do then maybe one book a month (that's where I'm at now LOL) And McCade loves to read also (he reads EVERY night before he goes to bed and I don't even have to beg him to do it!) And he loves to garden and this kind of reminded me of him "Adorable"!

Well I haven't done many Digi stamps (actually two other's and used my Paint program on my computer) and I don't own any Copic's so I used good ole trusty "Colored Pencil's" I am so afraid to use the Copics because I know I'll love them and then a whole new "addiction" will start! LOL All the things I've seen that are done with them are just beautiful and the blending is amazing but I haven't taken the plunge,............. yet!
Well the Digi Stamps are from Sweet 'n Sassy, make sure you hop on over there and check out what they have, there are some really cute things, Digi and regular stamps. Well I chose this adorable little stamp, because, like I said , it reminds me of McCade. I used the Sun (pg. 96) on Doodlcharms and cut it at 5 1/2" and then to cut the opening out I used the Pumpkin cut (pg. 120) with the shift on and used the hide contour for the face and vine part and had to tweek it a bit to fit in the center of the sun. To make the card part I used the shadow cut at 5 1/2' also, flipped one, and welded them together. The flowers and leaves are just punchs I used with a little added bling in the center. "Adorable" is a Stampin' Up stamp and cut with a Spellbinder's Nestie. I used my cuttlebug to emboss the suns, chalked almost everything and added a bit of stickles to the flower (gotta have a little sparkle on it! LOL) with that said I hope you like it, make sure you stop by BBTB2 and take the challenge, you can use ANY Digi or regular stamp but of course if you have a Sweet 'n Sassy stamp please use that and if you don't have the Doodlecharms cart, ANY sun will do! Hope to see you there and don't forget,.............................. I love the comments!
((Hugs)) and Take Care, Theresa

BBTB2 Challenge Featuring Peggy Loves Vintage!

How exciting is this! My second post to BBTB2 and this week is using Peggy Loves Vintage and boy oh boy was it FUN! I love vintage and I thought it would be easy but when I saw the images I had a hard time deciding which one to use...........decisions, decisions LOL! I fell in love with this image, like love at first sight, and kept coming back to this so guess what......... yep you guessed it! LOL
Well first we were to use a tag from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More and I used the tag on Pg. 88. I used Design Studio and welded 3 tags together and made a gate fold card. I had to make it dimensional and cut 3 layers for the cute little girl and 2 for the cute little boy.
I also used Life's a Beach again for the water and the little starfish that I added into the cuties sand pail and in the water. Also I have been DYING to use these micro beads on something and finally used them on the mounds of sand to give it some extra pizazz and LOVE how it turned out. (it looks SOOO much better in person tho!)
I was going to use real sand but I thought it would be too messy so used the beads (boy those beads sure do roll around tho and make just as big a mess as sand LOL) I'm not showing the inside of the card because I'm not sure what I'll use this for yet (LOL) so I just used some cloud paper and added some extra water cuts. I'll probably keep it and leave it out for my own enjoyment Hee Hee!
Well I seen what the gals on the BBTB2 creations are so make sure you go and see their amazing work also and maybe enter the challenge and if you don't have Tags, Bags, Boxes & More you can use any tag from any cart you would like. Now head on over and check it out and please make sure you leave a comment for me and if you like please feel free to follow me. I sure would Love it! Take Care, Big ((Hugs)) and Have a Great Day all you wonderful gals!

My 1st Challenge over at Bitten By the Bug 2!!!!

Hey you all, I just Love this little froggie from the Once Upon a Princess cartridge! As you can guess I just Love Froggies in general LOL! Well I am submitting this to a challenge over at http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/ . This is the first time I am submitting to a challenge and I am very excited and happy with this card. Woo Hoo! We were to use the ice cream tab on From My Kitchen and this is my take on it. I used a pre-made card from Michael's for the base and the paper is from DCWV (older stack) I "popped" everything with pop dots to give it some dimension. The flowers are done with an older Stampin Up punch and the bling in the middle is just some bling I had. The ribbon is from Michael's and the little dragonflies are a punch that I doubled and of course the googley eyes just give him so much character! LOL Now the flower stems are done with a packing tape method I love to use. You put the tape on the back of the paper, sticky side up, and then I added Martha Stewart glitter. I have numerous examples on some of my older posts if you want to check out the packing tape method (the girlie girl cards and the non-traditional V-day cards). Now if I ever get me a new video camera I think the packing tape method will be my first video because I use it so much, love it, and I just LOVE glitter and bling! Now on the inside I used the cut out left over pieces from the original ice cream cut and added it to the inside with my "hoppy birthday" stamp that is form an older Stampin Up set which is one of my favs and added more flowers like the front to tie everything together! I think I'm going to send this to my Daughter for her birthday next month. She'll get a kick out of it because she knows how much I like froggies. LOL Hope you all like it and show the love and leave me some comments, I love them!
