Monday Challenge with BBTB2!

Hi everyone and Happy Monday! It's another challenge day as always with BBTB2 and this week the Wonderful, Sweet and Talented Julia got to pick our challenge and she decided she was ready for Spring to get here so she Our challenge is to use ANY Bunny or Chick from Any cartridge! How Easy Peasy is that!

Well I'm going to share with you another page from my 2012 calendar for the month of April! Well we all know that Easter is coming and of course how perfect for my calendar post then to use a  Hoppy Easter theme! Well I used the Celebrate with Flourish cartridge for my page (yes I used the same cartridge for March also) but this is just a perfect cartridge for a calendar. Well I cut my Bunny @ 4" and my Saying @ 3". Used the shadow and had to add some dimension so I popped the Bunny and partial cut the flowers from the base layer because it doesn't have a layer for the flowers.
Now the little birdie and banner is from the calendar kit so I didn't have to cut them out, they just go on the page but I did add some bling to the little birdies wing. You know me have to add some bling to just about EVERYthing, lol, (gotta love the bling, lol!) I also did a bit of doodling on the banner and also the Hoppy Easter.
Here's a pic of the dimension (and of course the bling, lol!)

Well I sure hope you join us over at BBTB2 for the Bunny or Chick challenge. You have two weeks to link up your project, just make sure it's a NEW creation and you add a link back to our blog! Now don't forget to check out my Amazing Design Team Sister's Project's also, they all are So Amazing! Have a great week and hope to see you there!

"Cameo/Silhouette" New Challenge at SOUS!

Hi everyone and Woo Hoo it's Friday! Well it's another challenge day over at Stuck On U Sketch's Die Cut Challenge and the challenge is to use a "Cameo/Silhouette" for your project. Well I used the Forever Young cartridge and my Cricut because I just LOVE the Silhouettes on it. They are so Fun and knew I wanted to make two different cards using the negative space from one of them. I also wanted it to be kind of Vintage so I used this pretty paper from K & Company. Well I cut my Silhouette's @ 4" and cut two because, you know me gotta have some dimension! Then with the negative space of the silhouette I did my Fun Packing Tape Technique and added some pretty pink Martha Stewart Glitter for a whole new look to my silhouette! Added them to the frame and of course had to pop those layers too. Now to accent my silhouettes I had to dress them up a bit with a couple of pearl necklaces and they are both have some pretty gemstones dangling there. Then one has a bow in her hair and one has a flower, So Elegant and Pretty!
Here is a view of the purple card and all the details close up. Added some pretty recollections flowers to cascade at the top along with my much loved Bling. Added a few fancy photo corners with some more added bling. I also used a Martha Stewart punch and added a pretty sheer ribbon along with some more bling. And the "Seriously?" is cut @ 1" with the shadow and of course popped for some added dimension.
Here is the Pink card close up with some Pearl Bling added to this one and a Crepe Paper flower that I had made (you know me and my handmade flowers, Love them!) "Seriously?" is also cut @1" on this also and popped and then to the inside of the cards the sayings.................................
Are from Stephanie's new stamps at Whimsical Designs and you can purchase them HERE. I used my Nesties from Spellbinders for my scalloped ovals for the inside. (Yay, I finished the inside, lol)!
Here is another view to the purple card and you can see the Martha Stewart Punch a little bit better on this one and the popped dimension too.
And here is another view of the pink one so you can see the sparkle a bit better.
Another close up of the Pink Glitter Silhouette and can you see I also added a little pearl earring!
And also a close up of the purple one and the popped silhouette and those fun flowers.

Well I sure hope you join us for the Cameo/Silhouette challenge over at SOUS Die Cut Challenge! The challenge is open for two weeks and all we ask is that you use some Die Cut Machine. It doesn't have to be the Cricut (that is the one that I have) any Die Cut Machine will do (and there are many out there now) it has to be a NEW creation (no back linking) and please we would love that you add our link in your post so some of your friends and followers might want to join us. You know the more the merrier I always say, LOL! Now if you stopped by here first make sure you check out the Design Team Gals over at the Stuck On U Sketches Blog, they are ALWAYS Amazing with what they come up with so make sure to check them out! I hope you have a Great weekend and get to get some crafting done and hope to see you over at SOUS! Thanks for stopping by!

Going Green With Whimsical Wednesday's!

**Sorry my post didn't post at the right time I had the times mixed up (ooops!) =[ **

Well It's Wednesday and we have another challenge over at Whimsical Design's and this week we're "Going Green". Now with the last name of "Kelly" everyone just assumes I'm Irish (my Father was) and I have to tell you I'm only Half (the other half is Italian!) I know what a combination (and yes I do have a temper at times, lol)! Now my Husband is Irish so that makes McCade as Irish as you can get and with the name McCade Patrick Kelly everyone always say's "Boy that's an Irish name is I ever heard one", lol! Well I have to tell you I don't really celebrate this holiday much other than wearing green on St. Patty's, but I HAVE to have Corned Beef and Cabbage on that day! I love it and I always make a huge pot of it and invite the neighbor's over, you know the more the merrier (they had never had it until I fixed it for them and now it's a tradition!) And I'm not a big fan of Beer so I will usually make Irish Coffee's after dinner, so if your in my neck of the woods on St. Patrick's, come on over, it'll be lot's of Fun!

Okay now on to my Whimsical Wednesday post!
For this card I used some Spellbinders Shapeabilities (along with a Spellbinders Banner) for my card. I just got these this week so I was pretty excited to use them. I actually won a gift certificate from Tim Holtz when he did his tags of Xmas to Inspiration Emporium and this is what I got with it, How Fun! Well it's a pretty simple card for me and can you believe I didn't use my Cricut Again! I added some lace and of course some bling and the stamp is one of Stephanie's that you can purchase HERE if you like.

Well I sure hope you join us over at the Whimsical Wednesday Challenge, you have two weeks and all the info is in the link, just remember it has to be a NEW creation and please link back to Whimsical Designs, we would love to have your friends join in the fun too!

Well I sure would love to know if you join in the Celebration of St. Patty's and what your traditions are if you do so if you wouldn't mind I'd love to hear what they are in your comments (maybe I could start a new tradition from some of your ideas, lol) There was an Adorable Little Leprechaun Hut I seen on a new blog I found from a Gal named Holly and you can check it out HERE, McCade and I will be making one of these, it is Just Too Darn CUTE! On that note I'm off to get my SOUS challenge done!

Luck O' the Irish with BBTB2!

Hi everyone and Happy Monday to You! You all know the routine here on Monday's, it's challenge day over at BBTB2 and today Lori picked the Shamrocks from the Celebrate with Flourish Cartridge. Well I have used this Calendar Kit from Recollections and instead of using pictures I decided that I would do some die cuts each month and this is for the month of March! I cut my Shamrocks @ 4" and my Saying @ 2". I did some embossing then added some layers and I even popped the pre-made shamrock that came with the kit. Added a Martha Stewart border punch at the top, some velvet ribbon and of course some Bling!
So what do you think of my 2012 Calendar!? I guess I'll have to show you my January and February pages also (but that will be another post) Something to look forward to, lol!

Well this is going to be one of the shortest posts for me Ever, lol! I sure hope that you join us over at BBTB2 for the Shamrock challenge, just remember it has to be a NEW project and please link back to BBTB2. Our Challenges are open for two weeks so have fun with it and hope to see you there!

Sketch Challenge with Whimsical Designs!

Hi Everyone and what a Whimsical Day with Whimsical Wednesday Challenge. This week we have a Super Fun Sketch Challenge that our Super Talented Nanne has created for us to Design with!
Now I have another confession for you this week (boy I have alot of issues don't I , LOL!) Well I have to say, I have a Huge Fear of Sketches (gasp!) They really frighten me for some reason, lol! I just Love to look at sketches and and love what other people do with them but whenever I have to use one, I get really nervous, lol! They always seem so easy but when I print it out and wonder what I'm going to do I get all nervous and just stare at it for days! This was no different and even tho I didn't follow it to a tee I did use the concept, lol!
Well as some of you may know I've been going through alot of my craft supplies because my Wonderful Hubby gave me a new scrapbook area! (It still needs finishing and when it's done I will show you it, I promise, lol!) Well in my "Cleaning" I came across these little felt coasters from Michael's that alot of people were using a few years ago and I have this paper stack that I just Love from K & Company (very Vintage looking papers) and I knew I just had to do something with them and I didn't want to use my Cricut (GASP!) I know, not use my Cricut! Did I fall down and hit my head or something you ask!? No I just figure it's a Sketch challenge, and since they frighten me, I figured, why not really challenge myself and Not use my Cricut! So I didn't! What do you think!? I really Love it! Love the colors, so Springy and Fresh and of course I had to add some sparkle! I did use my Cuttlebug and a few punches though. All the scalloped circles that the pink coaster is on is my scalloped Spellbinders die and the large butterfly is a cuttlebug die. The small butterfly is a MS punch and the flower I made with a EK Success punch. I hand cut the banner/flags using some scrap pieces and I inked every thing to give it a even more Vintage feel and then popped most of the layers for some depth and dimension. Added some stickles to the butterflies for a bit more sparkle.
I also added some Cute little Pom Pom trim and a bit of eyelet lace I had and added a pretty little resin flower. Then I used Stephanie's new Stamp "Everyday Sentiments" and embossed it. I have to say this is the first time in ALONG time that I did some heat embossing (and it won't be the last) but I have to ask you all, "Any pointers for embossing!?" And does embossing powder go bad or do I just have some old, not very good embossing powder (not this one, I had a few trial and error ones, lol)? And also, what is a good embossing ink to use!? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!!!!!
Well here is the Sketch that Nanne created and the one we were to use as our challenge. I sure hope you decide to join us over at Whimsical Wednesday Designs for the challenge, remember it's open for two weeks so make sure you link up and play along with us. Please make sure it's a new creation and please link to Whimsical Wednesdays Blog in your post, there are the full requirements on the Whimsical Wednesday's Blog so make sure you check them out.
And if your Lovin the Sentiment on my card you can get some of your own right HERE! So much fun and so many uses for all the sentiments so make sure to check them out!

Have a great rest of the week and hope you get to do some crafting and decide to join us.
Until next time.........................................

Theresa

Monogram Challenge over at BBTB2!

Hi everyone and it's Monday and another challenge day over at BBTB2 and this week the Uber Talented Donna has picked "Any Monogram" from ANY cartridge you would like! Almost any font cartridge can be turned into a monogram so you have lots of options so no excuse for not joining us this week, lol! I used the Sophisticated Cartridge by Teresa Collins for my Monogram and I used some fun Jenni Bowlin designer papers and went with a Red, Black and Cream color scheme this week using a pre-made card base. I cut my frame @ 5" and did some hide contour in Design Studio for my black background and then inked my Red with some black chalk. I also cut the Argyle image @ 3 1/2" to add a little more interest for my actual Monogram which is obviously a "T" and it was cut @ 2 1/2" and cut with the shadow. Thank You was cut @ 2" with the shadow and then everything has some pop with pop dots for more depth and dimension. And you know me I had to add some Bling!
Here's a view of the popped layers!
And can you actually believe I finished the inside, Woo Hoo! I used the shadow from the argyle and the negative pieces are the cut outs from the argyle image on the front of the card, and of course, more bling, LOL!

Well I sure hope you decide to join us for the "Monogram Challenge" You can use ANY cartridge. It just has to be a NEW creation and please add a link to BBTB2. Also there have been some new issues with the Word Verify on the comments on some of the participants blogs and We, at BBTB2, would love it if you could turn off WV. There is a Very Nice post on the main BBTB2 Blog addressing the issue so please make sure you check it out. With that being said I sure hope to see you for our new challenge and hope you have a wonderful week and have Fun Creating! I will be going to the New Hobby Lobby that is opening in the next town over from me (YIPPEE!) I don't have to drive 2 1/2 hours now to get to the closest one, now it's only 45 minutes! Boy I'm moving up in the World, LOL! That's what I miss the most about living in the Country, not having a craft store close by, and not any Good Restaurants (so we do alot of home cooking) I guess it saves us some money in the long run, lol! Well on that note,
I'm off to Hobby Lobby...........................!

"Love" with Stuck On U Sketches Die Cut Challenge!

Hey everyone and I can't believe it's Friday already! Holy Cow, I've had 3 posts this week, can you believe it! Time sure flies when when you don't have enough of it, LOL! Well today is another reveal day over at Stuck On U Sketches and the challenge this week is "LOVE"! Any kind of Love you can interpret! Well I have a confession to share with you all! This was going to be my project for BBTB2 a couple of weeks ago but as I was cleaning up my new scrap space, I guess I just cleaned TO GOOD and this got stuck in with some papers and I COULD NOT it find anywhere, till this weekend, LOL! So with my work schedule and being short on time (again!) this is my "LOVE" challenge project! Please forgive me, I didn't get my other one done (hanging my head in shame!) But I do "Love You (All) To The Moon and Back! If it wasn't for all of you I would probably drive my poor Husband Crazy (well I still drive him crazy) but with all of you he gets a break once in awhile, LOL!
Well back to the "LOVE" challenge! The cart I used is Sweethearts and I used my trusty Packing Tape Technique for my LOVE-ly Couple. The moon and star is from George Basic Shapes and the scalloped ovals are from Storybook. Now my stamped image "I Love You To The Moon and Back" is from Whimsical Designs. Of course had to add some bling and the Moon and Star has stickles on them for more sparkle! Now the card I used is a recycled card, the red base is glittered flock and it's just the right pop of color I think, along with the touches of red bling! Added a sheer bow and that's it! I even finished the inside and forgot to take a picture of it, lol! (Boy I better get my act together, right!)
Now here's another view and you can see the sparkle a bit better.

Now I sure hope you join us over at Stuck On U Sketches Die Cut Challenge this week for the "LOVE" challenge. You have two weeks to enter and you can use ANY die cut machine and it has to be a NEW creation (not just for SOUS, I know there's Lots of challenges out there, but please mention us, we'd Love to have New Participants!) So what are you waiting for, it's Friday, get in your Craft Space and get Creating! I'll be looking for you! Have a Great Weekend!

((Hugs)) and Take Care!
